How is YOUR Gauge Pillar hooked up?

So back when I didn't know much about my car, this and that, I had a shop install some things after my first deployment in 2008 (my Eibach Springs, gauge pillar, and gauge cluster overlay which all came out to a grand total of $700+ after labor... yea, stupid me...

). They installed my ModernPerformance gauge pillar my screwing into the metal, with one screw, at the top left of the pillar. The stock pillar was removed, and to my understanding the gauge pillar is supposed to be installed on top of the stock pillar.
Anyway, I am just wondering how everyone has theirs installed. And if possible, a picture of how it sits flush, or not flush, against the weather stripping on the door and the front windshield.
Thanks!

bought mine off someone else but its a stock pillar with the 3 pod pillar glued to it, it sits flush and you wouldnt even know it wasnt stock or that there are actually 2 pillars on there. There were holes drilled in the stock one then to run wires and such
only pic i really have, if you want a shot of it taken off lmk

^Do you find you have a terrible blind spot with that? I think it would drive me nuts.

yeah during left turns there is a bit of a blind spot, so i swing my head around the pillar to check my blind spot. Its not that bad and honestly you get used to it.

+1 Its barely noticeable on most turns.
I have mine so the weather stripping goes over the side of it.

I epoxied mine to the original pillar and drilled a 2 in hole behind the pod to send wires through...I thought it would be better than screwing it all together..

Barely noticeable? Jesus! The stock pillar gets in the way too much as it is. I've seem slimmer pillars on armored vehicles.

This is what I was thinking.

Totally forgot I made this thread rofl. As far as "does it get in the way", I do the same thing... I just peak my head forward to check behind the pillar when making certain turns to make sure there isn't something in my blind spot.
I gotta take a picture of mine to show you guys how mine looks. I think it looks wretched. First off, the weather stripping doesn't line up with the pillar. And secondly, if you look from the outside, the pillar sticks out far enough from the window line that you can see the wires from the outside front windshield (the wires inside the pillar). Oh well. It still does it's job. I've been debating on whether or not going back to stock and just selling the things. They're nice and all, but eh... lol.
I'd have to find a stock pillar and stock white-face gauge cluster though.

Mine was a full replacement. I didnt use the stock one at all.

That was taken when I still lived in Michigan. lol I pretty much gave up on the Lions. From eye level while you are driving though, the pods stick out towards you, so it creates maybe an extra half inch of blind spot.

My pillar goes over the factory one u just drill holes for the wires and it secures with 4 tabs and mine is also from Modern Performance.
