water problems in my door

came out to the car this morning and it had been raining all night and still was. jumped inside and saw this:
somehow water is getting inside my door and running down the back of the panel. anyone have any ideas what may be causing this? i checked the door seal and it is in great shape and still in place. what baffles me is how it is getting on the INSIDE of the door panel. i would think that if anything it would drain down the door itself and not the panel.

Sunroof? Exterior window trim? Door handles/locks? Water dam?
Are you sure its coming through the door panel and not dripping onto it?

no sunroof. windows have in-channel vent guards on top so that is not the problem. don't see how it could be the door handle based on where the water is. could be the water dam around the window itself, i'll have to take a look at that tomorrow.
nothing on the interior is wet so it has to be coming in somewhere between the panel and the outer door skin, and below the window line. i removed the a-pillar trim and nothing was wet back there.

The belt trim window scraper may be worn and water is getting down past it and going in the door. Only other thing I could thing is the top of the door is bent out and not sealing properly.

doubt it is the door being bent but i suppose anything is possible. what exactly is a belt trim window scraper?

What he said.
With the window all the way up, the scraper/rubber seal at the bottom outside of the window opening may be letting water run down to the bottom edge of the glass, and drip onto the speaker.

It's possible that it can be related to your mirror on that door. Maybe like a crack in the plastic or its loose.
