Has any of you guys changed the dodge ram badge from the steering wheel to something else?

I've got a Decepticon badge in mine. It was supposed to simply install in the factory place as a stick-on, but once you remove the factory emblem (that you cannot reinstall without taking the steering wheel apart), you see that won't work. I completely cut the rubber out, ran a small bead of black RTV around the edge and placed the badge in there carefully and let it dry for awhile. Sits flush with the steering wheel.

I did the same thing and put an autobot one in. I also have the autobot badge in the front one.

Not sure how close the cloth of the airbag is to the vinyl cover, but be careful not to cut/score the cloth bag, or it may rupture if activated. This would be worse than no airbag. Prolly like having your face shoved onto an M80.

Just something to consider. :)

One of my friends said that if only I had a pole hanging from the trunk somehow then my car would be considered the strip club. And it was a girl.

showparts.net is where I got mine. They don't make the steering wheel badges anymore, at least I don't think they do.

I don't have any straight-on shots of the steering wheel badge, but here's what it looks like (blurry, yes, but whatever.. lol).

I didn't score the cloth. I took my time, especially since if I cut too far, I'd have had to go and buy a new wheel.

In jdusty's pics, you can see how it sticks out "off" of the steering wheel. Mine is inset. No pics though.

I didn't mean to direct it at you , just quoted you.

More of a "If you do this, be very careful."
