Air Bag Question

im about to pick up a 03 neon with both the bags blown, now i have a 01 neon already can i swap the bags and use my 01 steering wheel?

you should be able too use the passenger side air bag, as I believe there was little change there over the years but, for the steering wheel to use both wheel and airbag you will have to swap the clockspring over to the 01 clockspring. Let another member verify this for us first. Hope that helps. :thumbup:

the clockspring is the rotating wire loom assembly that sits between the wheel and the rest off the steering column. It's what allows the wires leading up the column to stay attached to your horn, cruise control (if applicable) and airbag while the wheel is being rotated. The connector on 03+ airbags is a slightly different shape than 00-02 model wheel airbags. So you can try switching out just the airbag connector (NOT RECOMMENDED) or, you can swap out the entire clockspring. Also, keep in mind that if your 01 wheel and the 03 car have cruise control, you will have to switch the wiring from the 03s stalk up to the 01 clockspring and then use the buttons on the wheel to control cruise. airbags are so overrated get a pass side delete from modern and swap in a sparco wheel you will be set

Nah i need my airbags i live in nyc land of the potholes and plus theres too many females on the road........i mean dont get me wrong some women can drive but its like 3% who can
