I got alot of aftermarket parts coming in and was debating on getting some gauges and the pod or going with this http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... fresh=true

What do you all think?

I dont know how well it would work I mean if it just plugs into the OBD2 port how would it be able to read boost if our factory PCMs dont know it exist how could out pcm reconize it, then measure it, and then send that signal to this as a readable number??? Also the tach on it would prolly be off it doesnt say if is can properly read a 2cyl tach signal

im with public disturbance, if your PCM isn't designed to display that setting through the OBD2 port then that gauge won't read it. (although it did look like you could wire in a couple sensors on your own). but the RPM should be more acurate than your clust because it is what the PCM is actually reading.

Right i understand it is a 2cyl signal. but TACH is a signal that is actually monitored by the OBD2 but after reading the pdf about the product they chose not to put that on the OBD2 side, but it actually lets you choose 1-2-3-4-6-8 cyl so the RPM should read just fine if set to 2cyl

btw OP i don't think it is worth $449. if you want (and if you have a smart phone) pay the $5.00 for Torque. it is an app that is a global code reader and monitor. then you just buy a bluetooth OBD2 reader from amazon $40.00 and pair it with your phone.

Factory tachs are usually only a couple of hundred RPM high, on purpose (an effort to keep people away from the real redline).

$450 is a lot for a tach.

shouldn't need one since this gauge can read a 2 cyl. signal
