New Blue LED's installed and Blue Dome Light. Check it out.
Let me know what you all think, I kinda want the gauge lights to be a bit brighter, but im happy with it anyway, also like the new color to my dome light. The people I work with like it as well. Tell me what you all think, even if you think it sucks, give me ideas or pointers. Next im gonna work on the Hvac lights.
Using a camera phone so the img quality at night isnt what its cracked up to be.
My Dome Light. Again the camera phone made it a bit brighter then it is. Almost has a black light feel to it.

2004 Neon. So I find my cluster green light sort of dim.
Are these the bulbs needed?
http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-bin/ ... 74_t15.htm
I removed the cluster to check and the main bulbs are a grey plastic socket...twist off kind.
Also instead of led (which may be too bright), will newer bulbs help? What is the size of those bulbs?

Getting the cluster out is simple. First you take the dash off. 2 to 4 screws. You have 2 screws in the top where the vent is near the windshield, I suggest a small stubby screwdriver. If you dont have one, a socket wrench with the phillips adaptor will work, you also should have one on each side of the dash near the doors. You pop them out, pull your pillars off, they just snap on and off. After you get them out. you will see a 4 phillips head screws holding the cluster in, remove these screws (2 up top and 2 below) the cluster just comes out..Then look at the back and you will see where the bulbs are, they are the bigger twist and lock bulbs, Twist and pull out.
For install of bulbs, you can just get the bulbs, you dont need to get the entire screw in set. Try these ones for you 04, if you want some that are
nice but not too bright, go with the WLED X6, if you want brighter go with the X5. If you want just newer bulbs, they are size 194. But in my opinion the LEDs are better and will last much longer.
X5 - http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-bin/ ... htm#photos
X5 high Power (Much Brighter) - http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-bin/ ... D-xHP5.htm
X6 - http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-bin/ ... LED-x6.htm
The X6 uses 6 led lights on the base, but it has less of the spread of light, more centered, where as the X5 has a wider angle of light and will shine more. But as I had said you dont need to buy the entier setup, you can just use the one that is supplied with the car. All you need to do is remove the old one from the socket, which is simple with a flat head screwdrive where you can just remove the old one. Hope this all helps, it is simple to do. Just remember that the bulbs are polarity sensative, so if you put it in and it done light up, take the bulb out of the socket rotate it and try again.

194.
IIRC, the W5W bulbs are a bit brighter than 194's
Edit:
W5W = 5 watts
194 = 3.8 watts

I used the WLED X6 for the cluster and dome.

Depends what color youre getting. I currently have the x5 blue, and there are indeed some darker spots, and it hurts my ocd LOL. I think a brighter color wont have that effect, but I think im going to try the high powered x5 next
