2gn Fall Meet 2011

I will tell you what tho ... I got one hell of a scare going down to Purgatory yesterday.

I went to sutton to buy those Enkei rims ... then figured I might as well check for a good spot up there. So I am driving down the road and I came around the corner (doing about 25 in a 20) and theres a Statie sitting sideways in the road ... HOLY CRAP ... so he starts backing up into a spot on the side of the road ... and whats sitting behind him ... 7 more with an SUV K-9 unit ... WTF... so I SLOWLY putted along past them ... lol. I managed to see them all get out of the vehicles and take the dogs (like 5 of them) and head into the woods. About 15 minutes later they came out ... got in the cars and went about an 1/8 mile up the road and went back into the woods (at another spot I was gonna take a picture) ...

Alls I can say is ... thank god I wasnt flying down that road ... lol

Ok I have a couple pics of the parking lot at the diner (sry they are crappy ... after all it is raining today).

I talked with the owner today and he said he would love to do something like that for us. He is going to email me a list of ideas he would do for food ... and we can discuss it from there. I figure a SATURDAY afternoon would be nice. He closes about 2 so if we met there for 3:30 it would give him time to set up and make whatever he sets for a list. It would be just for us ... and who we bring ... so no outside customers ... I like that.

I said a Saturday because he works til 2 on sundays then does his food prep for the week and he has mondays off so I dont want to ruin his weekend time since he is willing to do this for us.

If this sounds good let me know and I will work on it ...

Either place works for me. I did a quick mapsearch and both places are about 1 1/2 hrs away from me which is nothing. Let me know.

Sutton, Ma is about and 2hr ride for me. That's not that bad. Where is the dinner located.

Its less then a minute from me ... and I can get to Purgatory in about 20 minutes ... so its not too far off.

The dinner is about 2 1/2 to 3hrs for me. Just have to make sure I set some money away for stuff. Found out too today that Thanksgiving I will be getting an four day weekend.

I just talked with him tonight ... since we were all without power until tuesday night from that damn storm. He has a list of things he can make for us .. I will try to pick it up tomorrow and we can try to set a date. I know I would like to get it done in the next couple weeks before we end up with another snow storm.

Snow doesn't bother the SXT, he's a beast. BTW if you didn't end up finding a stock radio I have one here

I have snow tires on my SXT and its a beast also when it comes to snow. But am ready for a meet, finising painting my front bumper tomrrow at work and have a few other things on there way.

Ok so I got a basic menu from the diner. He may add something else to this ... but its a basic set up ...

Burgers w/ fries and drink $6.50

Brunch Burger w/ fries and drink $6.50 (1/2 lb burger w/ Am cheese, bacon on a french toasted bulkie and our sweetened ketchup)

Philly Cheesesteak w/ fries and drink - $6.50

Village Wrap w/ fries and drink - $6.50

Chicken Parmesan Dinner w/ garlic bread - $7.99

Pasta w/ meatballs and garlic bread - $7.99

Do we want to try for a saturday or sunday ... ??

the 26 th or 27 th ... just after Thanksgiving ... if he will do it that weekend ... or the following Dec 3 rd or 4 th ??

I was thinking more along the 27 th ... but let me know and I will talk to him.

I also need a def. YES count from those who will come so we can make it worth it for him ...

That Thanksgiving weekend doesn't matter to me because were doing a four day weekend thing.

Sunday works better for me, I always work Saturdays and the 27th would be fine if we did it earlier on in the day as I have plans later on that night.

I would definitely be in as far as attendance goes, but wouldn't be eating.

Ok so its set ... Sunday the 27th at about 2 pm ...

it gives him time to finish up the lunch rush and clean up for us. It will be exclusively Neons ... lol.
