CENTEX MEET SEPT. 19th

We are going to do a Central Texas SRT/Neon meet on Sept. 19th in the Killeen area. We will start at 1:00pm and stay as long as the last person is there. The Location is 201 E Central Texas Expy
Harker Heights, TX 76548 in the parking lot near Cheddars Restaurant. I am posting directions from Austin and Dallas below.

I heard about this from some buddys of mine here in austin and thought i might check it out since i used to live in killeen.

So billymike i saw in your profile you like paintball, neons, hondas, and girls. That sounds just like a guy i know but he would have added BEER in there.

I'll be there, hopefully we get a good turnout. I'm coming on the 18th to get in some disc golf while I'm down there. I'll be getting a hotel room for the night, and probably drinking lot's of beer, everyone is welcome to join.

dm_rep how long ago did you live in Killeen? And if you look under my name in my post you will see that it says More beer please LOL. A friend of mine that moved to Austin has a 1gn with an SRT swap.

SRT-Danny where are you in Iraq I'm located in Al Asad for the time being?

DonkeyPuncher I'm down to meet up for a few drinks thats one of the reasons I chose this location Cheddars has a bar in it LOL.

Yep we should have a good turn out I have several buddies in Killeen showing up. Future meets will include a dyno and track day.

My good friend Bay Jay how you been? I haven't heard from you in a couple of years. You going to get some more of your 1gn guys to come out. So far I think that you and I are going to be the only ones with them I will have my 03 R/T and my 99 SOHC 5 speed there. I'm going to see if James, Nate and some of the other guys want to come out also.
SRT-Danny I'm not stationed at Fort Hood, Killeen is home for me I will be there on leave during the meet. I am playing Marine in Cali. for the moment.
And to everyone the place we are going to meet at has several eating joints and a shopping center just in case some of ya'll are planning on bringing your Ladies.

Sup guys, learned from this over on cardomain. how is it that i been on here for years and i find out about this on there? oh, well. i'm down i will unfortionitly not be able to bring the neon as some of you may know its no more. but the audi will deffnaitly be present. maybe i can get the big turbo on by then. 350 AWHP!!!

theres a circuit city parking lot just up the hill of cheddars u can walk there its that close if yall wanna park/chill there since the space is way bigger then the cheddars parking lot.....that and the only other store up there is dicks sporting goods and thats on the opposite side so plenty of free space if we need it

Dallas, S.A., Austin, Waco, Killeen, and more. Seems like we have a pretty good amount of intrest. I like that even tho a few of ya'll got rid of your neons you are still active in the neon world. Who knows you might just miss it so much that you have to get another neon LOL. Hopefully this will be the first of many meets and we can start seeing more modded neons/SRTs around central Texas.
When It gets closer to the date I will post a contact # if anybody has any questions.

Got a couple of members from my avenger board interested, hopefully they can make it on that date. One guy has a supercharged avenger that is pretty sick, I've always wanted to see it in person.

I posted a link for them so we'll see. There used to be a few 3.5 liter swapped avengers in the area, not sure if they're still around though.

Hopefully I'll have my long tube header and suspension by then, the stock 4x4 suspension isn't very impressive.

Should be good time. I have never seen a modded Avenger before it must really be a pain trying to find aftermarket support for those.

Yeah the engine is dismantled right now, and I need to find a AC unit that I can put in the garage to continue to work on the car. LOL. I"m going to try to get back on it here this week. We will see how everything goes.

It seems every week on the news I hear about another road side bomb killing native texans, it's not pleasant to hear. I considered joining but they don't accept cripples in the military for some reason. I can't run, but I can still push buttons so I don't see the problem.

Thanks guys for the thoughts. There was a Marine that lost his life about 2 weeks ago to an RKG-3 when it hit the MRAP that he was the turret gunner in. Sad things happen like this fairly often here. I should be back state side before the end of next month. That is why I haven't been on much lately getting everything ready for turn over to the replacment unit. Should be a good turn out tho I here from my buddies all the time by email so I'm excited.
