Well, it looks like you are 7 hours out. So to allow yourself a few quick stops for gas/bathroom/food, I'd try to leave by 2:30-3a EASTERN (1:30-2a CENTRAL). That'll put you in the Toledo area around 10:30a EASTERN.

I'll be honest... I have a habit of quickly exiting from the highway whenever I see cheap gas. Another thing- I can't talk on a cell phone with y'all while I'm driving an MTX (not enough hands!). Plus, I try to take the most direct route so that I can conserve fuel (to keep my expenses down). I did caravan the first year that I went to Carlisle but felt like I was being a drag for the other two guys that I drove with. I haven't said anything about these things on the forum before but maybe now people might understand my reluctance every year about this time when the talk turns to caravaning.

I completely understand where Gramps is coming from. When my car club travels together to shows it's like herding cattle at times. The more cars you have, the worse it typically is. Normally it's a lot of speed up, slow down...especially if you are near the back.

Don't get me wrong, though, it's still a lot of fun traveling in a group.

But yea, I'm rolling at 11a...so whoever wants to roll with me, be here!

(I'll have an actual location when the time gets closer...or maybe I'll just set up a meeting place at one of the rest areas on the turnpike. That might be easiest.)

yeah meeting at a rest area nearr the turnpike would be the best way to go. that way we arent going into town trying to find yor place or something.

so why don't we actually get a list with name and location. for location we can put the closest town to where you would get on the interstate or intersection.

lets get this going and either Colt (doubted) or the second poster can edit their post so the list is at the beginning of the thread. that way we can get a better idea and plan accordingly.
