Cookout on the southside of Indianapolis August 6th

There is a cookout in Greenwood on August 6th. Park will be decided when it gets closer to the date and we have a good idea how many people are coming. All you have to bring is your neon. Nothing special, just an excuse to get together and have a cookout. Time will also be decided when the park is chosen, more than likely around the 12pm to 2pm range and last until everyone is gone.

Ianguilly (if he doesn't have to work)
Neon4life (shows interest, won't know until last minute)
Drifterz73 (if he gets his mtx swap done by then)

FAC3L3SS (pending solid size group, 4 hour drive)
custom95neon (coming for sure)
Jimbo in MI (too early for him to say for sure)

July 16th is the last day of my summer vacation so I'll still be basking in the afterglow of Carlisle.

I can get someone to cover for me at work on August 6th also so I'm flexible.

Local guys are showing no interest in a meet so plans may be changing.

Deja vu- sounds like the meet FAC3L3SS tried to set up a couple of years ago but we made it fun!

If we can't get anything set up here, eljclide (Eric) is trying to organize another Dayton, OH meet.

Hell I BOUGHT this Neon in Greenwood. Weird interest is generated but turnouts are typically weak. I'd be interested pending a solid sized group. Four hour drive here.

The last years in row were complete failures but I thought I would try again. If there isnt any interest soon I will put my efforts towards helping Eric with another dayton meet. I just dont feel like renting another shelter house and buying a buttload of food and no one show up, again. I am not giving up just yet, but pms to locals have been read with no replies. I know the neon scene is pretty much non-existent around here but I am still trying. I try to make it worth the trip with free food but that doesnt even work. Stay tuned, we will figure something out.

I would love doing a meet in greenwood, but i don't get out of work till 3 on sat. which means 3:30-3:45 before i can get to Gwood from the north side...somaybe a 2-4pm meet??? as long as some people will stay past 3 i'd make it. (also this is asuming they don't change my drill dates)

The time is still up for negotiation. I personally dont care what time and the people helping me dont really have a preference either, that they have mentioned anyway. I think a couple people in ohio are interested in coming and they probably would like a later time as well. Whatever time you guys want to meet is cool with me. The shelter rentals are all day until dark I believe so anytime.

Lol. People complained last year that a month wasn't enough time to make arrangements to come. They will have to come up with a better excuse this year.

My plan is to go park hunting this week. More than likely it will be at University park like last year. I liked it because parking is right next to the shelter. Plus it's pretty much right off I65 and is easy to find

I spent 15 mins looking for the entrance, maybe we can put a sign by the entrance.

I drove by it I dont know how many times before I found it. It shares an entrance with a subdivision so it was hard to find. If thats where we have it I will mention the name of the subdivision or put up a sign or balloons or something.
