Bad news- I've got something work-related that has to be done tomorrow so I won't be able to make it. I just found out this evening. Sorry folks, have a good time and post up pics so I'll know what I missed.

We missed you gramps. And almost everybody else as well. It was a huge turnout:

This is the only picture we took so I am not going to open a separate picture thread. So there were only two 1gn's at the 2gn meet, Ian's and mine...

I know that OD had obligations but where were Amit and DJ? I'm sorry that I had to bow out as I'm sure that it would have been a good time even with just the three of us. What did I miss? Did you guys go ahead and eat at Beef O'Bradys or did you go somewhere else? Did it rain on you? The radar didn't look very good your way.

Not sure where Amit and DJ were. We waited for almost an hour and then went into Beff O'Brady. There were several soccer teams and they told us it would be an our wait. So we went over to the old meet location and ate at the Red Robbin's there.

The weather was fine. It did not rain at all during the meet. We did get rain later that evening though.

It was nice to meet up with Ian again though since he did not make it to Carlisle.

Well I really missed out if you went to Red Robin- I prefer that to BOBs but this is where Eric had us going the last few times. Are we going to have a spring meet? Maybe we'll have a better turnout then. And maybe a better turnout if we go back to the original meet location? What do you think?

I prefer the food at Red Robbin myself. I think the turnout for the Spring meets seems to be better for some reason. So I say we should plan for one. The parking lot at the Red Robbin is probably nicer, i.e. less potholes. So maybe switching back is not a bad idea. There is usually lots of parking available across from Red Robin closer to the mall for us to find a spot all by ourselves.

The old Ford dealership at the BOB location is pretty much off limits now as the new owner does not allow anybody on the property. So switching the location is probably a good idea. I could try and scope out some nice photo-ops if we want to cruise anywhere.

I vote for Red Robin also. While that Beef's wasn't bad, the one here always seems to suck IMHO, so it just doesn't have much appeal to me.

Maybe if it hadn't been a holiday weekend also.

Wish I could have made it. :(

But at least there was two that showed and not just one. I was wondering when I seen David's post if anyone would show, since there wasn't any response after that.

I vote that we go back to the original site for the spring meet:

I'll bet that turnout will be better (as will the food). :D

Sorry, that sucks. I guess there was not enough wood around to knock on. Just remembered, a while back my starter blew just a block from home when I was picking up mail. That's what you get when you try to be energy efficient; I should have left the engine running. Right after I got the starter swapped in, the alternator failed. I hope you can get yours fixed quickly.

From what I gathered Amit was in Illinois somewhere for one reason or another.

I personally completely forgot about it, but I didn't miss much lol.

DJ and I were in Illinois, I tagged along to check out some apartments and whatnot with him.

We were lazy when we got back. Too much driving!

Don't worry, I won't do a "no-show" again. I promise!
