I just joined so i don't have any posts or anything.

But i see AZ is weak for neons and would like to meet up at Pavilions and possibly have a cruise there.

Please respond for ideas and dates, thanks.

I'm around - up in North Phoenix. There's also a north car meet, at 83rd and Beardsley, on Saturday nights I believe. I hit that one up with my father from time to time.

And if i'm not mistaken, I sold you my SRT wheels?

Im thinking of Moving Back to Phoenix. Because im fucking tired of california and its bullshit and it does not feel like home.
So whats the Neon scene like down there?

Well i see more srt's than anything. Lot's of people driving neon's for there mpg but not many people into neon's besides the srt owners.

Oooh man, I hear ya. I lived in SoCal for a year, and was never really happy. Phoenix rocks, my socks

No real scene :/ I've only ever seen three other R/Ts. All were stock. Like Shane said, more people drive 'em cause they're cheap. Everytime I see one approaching, I get all excited, until I see that it's completely stock, and the owner could probably care less that it's a Neon.

Several SRTs though. AZsrt.org was pretty big for a while. They just cleaned up their lists and forums, so I dunno how they're doing, now.

I'm totally down for anything. Put me on the list

lol that's crazy because there are always at least 200 cars.

I went to Armondo's a lot. It was on Deer Valley and 23rd ave. But that was mostly ricers and they stopped going because the cops always came.

I was there but i didn't drive (Pointless i know) because my friend just put a wot box in his gti so i had to ride with him

We saw a mk4 supra and he did some pulls next to us on the highway, it was pretty sweet. And i taped it

az neons was a copyrighted name that expired in 08. back in 2001-2002 azneons was at its peak, they guys would meet every week for SCORS night at firebird. back then brent had a 13 sec all motor car and then a low12 sec turbo car, nick riely (nrgy heads) had just moved out here and his all motor car was in the low 13's i belive keithe had dipped into the 12's in his all motor 2.4 1st gen and the scene was going. in think F&F gave the scene a jump start. well all that slowly died down and people started having kids and started to move on with their lives. since ive been in the scene (2005) we had 2 meets that actually happened on the org and one of them is the one that at the bottom of the sw page title ez neons. now ive met up with a few guys before but no big meets. people always try to get one going but people always end up having a reason not to go. thats why i go out by myself every weekend and hang out with all kinds of people with all kinds of cars odds are if theres a large meetin place ill know somebody in there. SC62391 u know u seen me before. the new ricer hang out now is 107th ave and indian school on the northwest corner behind the circle k. every friday and saturday night from about 10pm till whenever. u guys should come out. weather its by ur self or as a group.

there is enough of us neon heads locally to do something or even help each other out on projects and stuff. i know i would like some help with things and as i can lend some help. may be a little gathering just to start things off. could be a family thing you know bring the wife or g/f or just the guys it does not have to be at a race track or the ricer hang outs. could be a park with a little bbq or a hooters, heart attack grill, junkyard ect..... well my az folks you all let me know i will put it together. as i have been doing this type of stuff for the other forums i post on so its no big deal to me.

i have no problems with meeting up, i havent backed out of one yet. back in the day every one would hang out at brents house, work on there cars etc, it was all neon owners too. those were the good ol days for the neon community.

well then anyone that is willing to meet up and converse with other local neon owners sign in and i will start to organize things. that way i know if its a small crowd or what . once everyone that is willing to meet says so we can decide on a date, time and location. remember this would be the first meet and will probably not be very long just a put a name to a face and car type of deal.

i dont have a running neon right now, spun bearings are a bitch. but i should have it back up and running before the end of the year. so if its any time soona ill be showing up in my honda.

none of that is a problem mike we can wait till after the holidays to do something, and that will give sc62391 some time to get his time off. it would also be up to mike to keep us posted on his progress on repairing his neon. anyone else?
