Hotty alert! Looks good man, how does the srt-4 exhaust sound on a turbo 2.0? The outside of your car looks nice too. Are front plates required for you? I washed my car to take some pictures, then it rained, and rained, and now it looks like crap.

They look much better than your tiny, old wheels, Mitch. I never realized though, until I saw the pictures that you need a front lip of some sort... And maybe some rear discs.

....lip? yes that would be fuggin nice. a very small but noticeable lip would be perfect. Like the R/T...but good luck finding that fascia.

Why not just use Jason's old front bumper? That spot would be easy to fix, and I bet you could get away with 100 or less in paint...
K20...what's a K20?
Edit - You would need headlights also, right?

I could use his old bumper, but I dont want my car to look like an SRT that much.
and yea, i'd need headlights as well.
for the other Q above, I used the dyno for tuning

Looks amazing man!! I'd love to see more detailed info on the build up. Given that SRT4 turbo parts are dirt cheap these days, I'm sure that people would love to see a detailed how-to
So your just using the stock PCM?? Do you get lots of check engine lights?
Again, looks amazing!!

yea check engine lights suck. I get the one for the UDP, and I always throw an evap code if i give a little too much throttle when the car is totally warmed up. I was all freaked out about it at first, but nothing is wrong with it. PCM is just bitching about big injectors i guess.

If you are on a low buck dont even think about trying to install the turbo, its not going to happen. You need lots and lots of money and time on reserve because things break. But if you still do decide, you need an adaptor, mattdog makes them. 2.0's have a round exhaust port, while the srt-4s port is a rectangle.

Don't listen to this guy, every time someone posts about wanting to boost their car, he knocks them down.....as you can see a lot of people have successfully built turbo SOHC motors on the cheap. It can be done very low budget. You should be able to get it all put together for under $1500 if you shop instead of jumping on the parts new, or from the manufacturers.
It WILL happen, just spend some time reading, and reading, and reading (which is free by the way). Then shop, then plan for your car to be down for a week. Then tune, or take it to a shop and let them do it, I don't know about your area, but around here you can get an all day dyno tune session for $400.
Don't let anyone sway you. Just research, then do it.

He was just giving a turbo newbie a heads up
You can do it cheap, BUT if you dont know what your doing its going to get expensive quick....

I understand if he said that it is possible but expensive, but he didn't say that. Instead, he just straight up told the guy that he shouldn't do it and that IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN, thats BS. We are supposed to be supportive of eachother. Help the guy out, let him know how expensive it is, don't just tell him that it's NEVER going to happen. If you did it why can't he?

Dude wtf, I can understand you saying that but I HAVE a turbo on my sohc, and you cant do it cheap. I say what I say from experence, not what I read on an internet site. Please show me your < 1500 dollar set up thats been running for a year (starting with a car thats stock). You dont understand that it cost alot of money, unless you have turboed your car you wont get this. I wish someone would have been negative when I was peicing together my turbo kit instead of saying "ohhh yea that should work" when they havent even tried it themselves. Lots of people say you can do a turbo on the cheap, not that many people have gone though with it for long. I was telling him not to do it because he said he didnt have alot of money or didnt really have the knowledge. In that case, he should probally stay away from turbos untill he has the money and the info, im sure anyone with a turbo on this site will agree.
TNK- it took me a super long time to gather all the info to turbo my car, im not knocking you that you dont know alot about them yet. Not everyone was born with a wrench in there hands. The point im trying to get across is dont do a turbo untill you have the money to do it right. I dont want to see your car with a blown engine because you couldnt do things the rigth way. Any info you want, you can hit me up on PM or read the stickys.
-Lambostealth- I wish people would have been negative and told me the truth when I was turboing my car. I was told by plenty of people that I could do an srt-4 turbo setup for under 1000 but I didnt even come close to that. I spent about 6 months shoping around and buying parts slowly, but you dont account for alll the little odds and ends and maintance. I turboed my car for about 1800 on what I call a reliable set up (even though its not that great) but have spent over 500 dollars atleast replacing things that break. Id rather save people from future headaches by skimping than encouraging people on things that wont work. I didnt mean to be rude but I hated when people told me things are easy when they really are not.
