New Pictures are on my next post!
Well I got my car back a little while ago. I was going to sell it, but then decided that I was going to keep it. I thought I would update you guys on whats happening (which isnt that much).
Just finished taking off the pin striping, and giving it another coat of wax.

Dont mind the bug guts!
It has also been really rainy here lately. Yesterday I opened the door to my car to find a really musty smell. So I ripped out my back seat, and sure enough there was an inch of water underneith. I further ripped apart my car/ trunk to find that the water was leaking in from my passenger side tail light and coming in from the trunk. Anybody else had this happen?? Im just curious. Anyhow what do you think of my barracuda stripe idea? Anybody else had a leaky tail light that managed to soak the interior?

First off... Welcome back!

And yes, it's a common problem. Hasn't happened to me, but others have been talking about it. I'll try to find the thread and post the link here. It's an easy fix, IIRC.

Edit: Here's a thread that should help - http://forum.2gn.org/viewtopic.php?p=120946

Thanks for the help. I had no idea it was such a widespread problem. Is it just the 00-02 neons? Im going to assume so just because the lights change again in 03. I have come up with another idea for the stripe along the side. The barracuda stripe fades as you get to the back, so it wouldnt cover up anything. Im going to go with something almost opposite of that. As it gets closer to the rear of the car, the spacing between the bars gets less and less, and gradually becomes solid. I have to do up some photoshop pics to see what it would look like, or if someone else could help, it would be appreciated. the lines should go something like this.
------ ------ ----- ---- --- -- - and they get thicker as they get to the rear of the car also.

I am in edmonton now, fixed the tail lights, put new seals on them, and it seems to be doing the job. The car is going to be parked for the winter pretty soon. I just went out and got tail lights, replaced the stock stereo, and buzzed off the purple stripe on the side. Here are the pics.

Just a quick shot I took in a hurry before the rain started to fall.

A blurry Picture of my Pioneer Premier Cd Player. Its 5 years old, and been in every vehicle I have ever owned. Still sounds amazing.

Yeah, I don't know how dark blue would look on a black car...guess I'd have to see some pictures.

Sorry guys, that was an old post. I decided to fix the dents instead of just covering them up. I like the clean black look, so thats how it will stay.
