my gauge overlay

Post by jT » Thu Jul 20, 2006 9:21 pm

you can see i removed the window.. not sure if that will stay like that (the plastic i found at home depot was scratched worse than my window, and wasnt very flexible, so not sure if i can use any of it)

and if you noticed, i "detached" the round gauge plastic from the top so its just the round outline

im thinking about filling in some of (most of) the white, kinda like this
Image (obviously photoshop'd)

this is the first real change ive made to my car.. i had gotten a chrome gauge overlay but it doesnt really work with the overlay.... and plus if im not wearing sunglasses i get a nice shine in my eyes at certain angles...

thoughts/opinions?

I thought the needles still lit up with overlays. Other than that it looks pretty cool.

yeah its an 00

im probably definately going to do something about all the white...

and then once my LEDs come in, who knows i may scrap this alltogether and go back to the original gauge face and use the blue lights like that... lol

yeah, either way ive wasted some money

wow i would have never guest but it makes sense... i dont know why, i just assumed all of them had tachs, but it may be a CAN/US thing, just how all SX neons here have foglights, where in the states it's an add on
