so, i washed and waxed the car today.... and i was gonna post pics...

BUT SOME ASSHOLE STOLE MY DIGITAL CAMERA AND MY RADAR DETECTOR FROM MY CAR YESTERDAY!

sons of bitches. i left the window down about 6-8 inches, liek i alwasy do at work, cuz noone ever messes with the cars at my work... well, someone decided to help themself to my digi and my radar. luckily thats all they took, my huge ass case of cds was in the back seat. im pissed.

yeah, these last couple a weeks have blown ass. and im finally buckling down and getting my tranny looked at. my mechanic friend says it sounds like its the synchros (fromthe description of my problems) and the bill will be 800-1000 or more. ouch. at least they are gonna let me make payments. ~100 a month. which will help. cuz i aint got a g sitting in my pocket. so the CF hood is gonna be on the backburner for a little bit prolly *looks at his scratched up, but freshly waxed, hood and curses the son of a bitch that did it to eternal hell*

That sucks man.

I was talking with my neighbor and found out last nigth there was a group of kids walking around, up and down streets, checking for unlocked cars. Came by and checked mine, my brothers, and some others. They didn't do anything and my neighbor called the cops but by then they were long gone. I think now I'm going to go look into a storage unit to keep the car in during the week while I'm driving the honda. I've been hearing alot lately about kids breaking into cars and stealing whatever they can get.

my codealarm alarm is super sensitive, thunder and fireworks set it off, a ground hog that ran under my car set it off

I got a Prestige Audiovox remote car alarm. Then, I hooked up a "mini siren" or pain siren, whatever the hell you wanna call it, which is so loud that if it does go off, it should make the burglar run off--and yes, it is that loud. On top of that, I also hooked up a glass sensor. It detects the high frequency sounds, such as glass shattering, keys dangling or coins rattling.

And then I have the backup siren. It replaced the original siren that came with the prestige system but this runs on a backup battery so that if you ever cut any wires and/or the alarm is triggered, the only way that it can turn off is with the key or remote.

So yeah I have:

Remote start car alarm

Pain/mini siren (in the interior)

glass sensor

and backup siren.

They're all relatively cheap and serve their purposes well.

The way my car was broken into was with a sound deadener or something like that. Since my windows have tints, if you use this machine it can crack the window in its center to reduce the glass sound. The glass sensor should pick this up. Once the alarm is triggered, and the guy is inside the car, the pain siren should really deter him. If he has the balls to try and cut any wires under the dash or under the hood to the battery, the alarm will stay on because of the backup siren.

iu aint sweating an install... im sweating the fact that i dont have the extra money fdor an alarm. plus i wanna get my new hood, and the car went into the shop today bc the synchros might be toast.... quote is 800-1000 or more.....

you guys have bad luck then....

i used to leave my car unlocked and even some times with the windows down in my parking spot in my driveway. no one never messed with it, because my house has like a 50ft long driveway and my car is hidden behind a unmoved van.

but TNK, what about your stock dodge alarm? I know mine was hella sensitve, cars driving by it would set of the alarm when i parked it on the street.

didnt even flinch. the white cars alarm would go off if the door was oipened from the inside when it was locked, this one and my wifes dont for some reason
