I've been doing that 2 days. They have been sitting. Then I've been trying to get them loose. When I say there frozen, they are.

Have you tried heating them up?

the 1 thing i hate about our cars are the fenderwells. the fornt 1 comes up so high that it looks liek an uneven drop with a saggy ass, when the car sets perfectly level.... i wanna drop the fornt of mine more and make the wheel gap even..... but i dont know what would do it.

What i did to make mine even, before i went to bags, was i took out the upper mount /w bearing, replaced it with just the bearing from a first gen(they pop right out of the mount), and it lowered about an inch more.

Mind you, i had coilovers, so unless you changed, this won't work on your set up

godammit. you had me excited. im considering getting a set of 1g drop coils like crucial had on his CG before the bags....

All depends in how you cut it, though.

whats wrong with cutting the springs? people do this all the time... as long as you cut a full coil at a time so the spring is well seated.

doesnt the ride suffer horribly? plus some people might not know how to 'cut the spring the right way'.

IMO, springs arent really made to be cut. if you want your car lower for a cheap price, Id just go to ebay and get some aftermarket springs. My dropzones were $100 and I loved them. They gave me about a 2.5" drop or more and they actually rode really well. Alot better than my coilovers do right now because I havent had time to adjust anything the way I need to. Even the drop on the first gen springs is very nice. Alot more than I wouldve orginally expected, honestly.

it is a possibility..... but its not a fact. every car is gonna react different to this due to them having different rates and the weight of the car. so unless someone here has done it to a neon, i wouldn't leave that option out. and if you really think about it, dosen't the ride suffer horribly with certain "lowering" springs?
:D

Wow, alot of misconception here.

You CAN cut springs, but you need to do it properly.

DO NOT use a torch, or anything that will heat up the spring dramatically.

DO use a grinder or something like that with a cutting wheel. In fact, hotchkis recommends this with Dakota R/T's, if they dont' sit low enough, they recommend you cut it a quarter of a coil until its low enough.

True....right now I am actually hating my coilovers :( Im sure if I had time to adjust them and I relaly need to tighten up the springs in the back, but since I dont have time, when I do drive it, it throws me everywhere
