Lowered and washed today!

I finally finished getting my Mopar lowering springs all around. They dropped my car 1.5", and aren't harsh at all to drive around on.
It's a little -too- close to the ground for me, but I'll just to have to be THAT much more careful when I drive around.
On to the rest of the pics!
Any ideas on what to do next, after winter? (I'm already getting a new front bumper... Buddy Club II just to let you know. Come tax return, that's when it's going on.)
I know the hood needs re-aligned.. any tips on getting it straight?

I love the hood--i always have. Plus, the yellow and black looks good too. I never liked that front bumper--a friend of mine had a similar one too. And I can't believe i'm saying this, but I think the rear would look better if the tips were fatter--to fit the cut outs.
And damn you got a lot of light (in the sig)!

ummmm, a few things: Different exhaust tips, bumper( that's what ur doin), bigger wheels ( darker color), Let go of the sidemoldings.
P.S. if it's a 1.5 drop.......why is ur rear still so high?

i was actually discussing the lowering issue on the other board as well...
i have no idea why it doesn't set even. I bought the Moper lowering springs... they're said to drop it a 1.5". The way I'm thinking, the ass of the neon hangs high in the air the way it is, if it's a 1.5" drop all around, it's still going to have that ass in the air look.
maybe I'll just buy some springs that drop it 2" in the rear. *shrugs* i dunno

mopar clearly states that the springs are 25mm drop in the catalog

yeah, but the rear looks like it only had about .75 of a drop. wierd. but yeah, i think you should buy a pair of springs with 2" drop in the rear, it'll look sick after that, especially with a buddy club 2 front bumper on.

I think everybody already commented on what the car is lacking and what its good points are.
I think if the rear were as low as the front, the car would look 10x better. You need some type of bigger exhaust tips to fill the gaps in the rear. A black and polished wheel would look sick on the car. I don't know man... you are heading in the right direction though. Keep it up.

I would get some different wheels, black w/ polished lip would look nice like everyone else said. and remove the side moldings. they are just on w/ 3m body tape and you have a fairly new neon, so you shouldnt have much fading at all, or the paint bubbling. If you do it, be careful and take your time. Some of us on here have had that problem. (I didnt though on my 01)
Good to hear you are getting the BC2 bumper, I love that bumper. If you can get a good price on it, get the whole kit. That whole kit is sexy

Joelrgr has it on his graphite neon and it looks very nice. I think he got it for pretty cheap directly from BC2 also, like last winter. You should PM him about it.

You should get some Dual outlet tips for both sides, need to fill in that space in the rear, but other than that, I think it looks

switch your springs around and you might see a more even drop. To me it looks like you've put the front ones on the back and vica versa

given, they were used and didn't state which were which... i just compared the springs side-by-side and went with the same shape, and put them on that way.

Yea.. No offence that Front lip makes it look like Donald Duck.. or Daffy.. or Mother Goose.. Well you get the idea. I saw a Red SXT with that Lip here in town and all I could think of was the a Locomotive from the 1800s.. Y'know to move the Buffaloes that were on the tracks.

So... it turns out you were right.
I switched the springs on one side, and low-and-behold! It's even now. I'll do the other side tomorrow...
But It's odd. I placed the springs next to each other, compared the way they were shaped, put them on that way... and it was wrong. *shrugs*
Oh, and I FINALLY got a heat gun, so the side molding is comming off as well. I've always wanted to... but couldn't find a heat gun anywhere.
In the process of trying to find a SRT-4 bumper.
Eventually I'll change the side skirts... but for now, it's fine.
I'll keep the bigger tips in mind. Only thing I'm afraid of is it changing the pitch... and I don't want that.
Finally rims... I'm buying new ones next year. My Konigs are kinda beat up. Whoever owned the car before me didn't know how to park next to a curb. I'll look for a set of black 17's, with a polished lip and hopefully polished center cap.
That is all.

I don't wanna be the dumb ricer who hates on the neons.. but I hate.. hate..hate that front bumper... it looks like some Alaskan natives who use snow plows designed it...
It's just one of the worst front bumpers Ive seen for a Neon.
