HAK, MAKE SOME FOR OURS!!!
W3rd, make some better ones, then hate on these.
No offense hak, your work is nice indeed. But not everyone likes the ugly ass 03+ headlights/front end. So these would be our only option for those of us without the time or resources to make something ourselves. Not to mention the projector/halogen combo is nice for those who want to do HIDs and still have halogen high beams, like myself.

What's wrong with an HID high beam?
And you don't know for sure that these cheap, ugly ass headlights will even put out a good pattern with HID's. HID's require lazer like precision for a proper pattern, if these projectors are anything like the APC ones for first gens, you are going to waste almost half the price of a decent projector retrofit.
And, your opinion is yours, so I will just say, that the 00-02 front ends are the reason I hated Neons, the 03+ is much more pleasing to the eye.

I dont know if the quality/light output is good. Which is why I havent bought them. Hell, even if they are nice, I wont buy them for quite some time yet.
Im just saying. I have no access to junkyards that would have any vehcles with projectors for a retro project. Nor do I have the time or patients for something like that right now.
Nothing wrong with HID high beams. Id run them, no doubt. But, Id be happy with just HID low beams and halogen high beams.
Opinions are like assholes. I give you credit, you have managed to make the 03+ look good. But its the looks that makes me want an SRT swap, rather than just buying an SRT.
Hell, I will probably just end up with a hi/low HID retro for my 'coons and deal with the 'decent' performance of them.
Some light output pics

Hi guys,
I got to taking some light output pics tonight - not great quality pics but it'll give you some ideas. The car was in a dark alley and the wall/dirt mound was around 30 feet away. I took 4 shots each of the low and high beam from some perspectives. The pics don't seem to show how bright the light was but it'll give some idea of the output - the lowbeam line shown in the pics seem to be from not adjusting the lights in. I just installed them but haven't got to aiming them. If any locals care to see them - just give a holler and hope to meet up sometime.

Oh btw, the bulbs are the stock ones they came with, the halos and LEDs are wired seperately so one can choose to turn them on separately. The both do not go on when the lights are running.

the output does not look that bad considering the pics were taken with stock bulbs, like he said the pics dont show exactly how bright the lights really were ,
o and btw 00-02 front > 03+front IMHO

I made mine they werent hard to do at all and you get to personalize them the way you want. total cost to make mine was like $70 bucks (traded someone something for the projectors and used my stock headlight housing) they arnt that bright but they do the job at night. I think DYI mods are the best cause they are one of one's and it feels good once you look at the final product.

Well, looking at the cutoff, these should do VERY well with an HID kit, you will get a nice crisp cutoff, and a lot of color at the cutoff just like factory style projectors, I actually was not expecting such a nice cutoff.
If I had an 00-02 front end (BLEH!), I would DEFINATELY buy the black ones with an HID kit and call it a day! Just aim those bishes!

Exactally.
They look kind of dim in the pics, but look at his license plate light too, we all know how bright that is, and even it looks a lot dimmer than in real life.

I think even with a set of silverstars you would have a decent set of lights, really not that bad!

Shit!
As mentioned before, the output is more than adequate plus it's only with halogens. I have an HID set--now I'm really tempted to purchase the black ones.
What to do? What to do?
*Edit* They definitely look like they need to be aimed.

Keep in mind though... didn't someone on here say it takes H7 bulbs in the projectors so if you have an 9007 kit you'll need different bulbs or a complete new kit if you can't interchange your bulbs. This is tempting to buy though but also tempting to try and make some if I had the money

Damnit haknslash... make some already!!!!!!!!!
