Blacked-out Caliber Muffler

I always hated how ugly this huge muffler looked on my caliber, even worse than the ones on neons. Got the idea from caliberforums.com to black it out and it looks 100% better. I know its nothing major, but I love it

thanks everyone!!

yes this is the begining :)

I dont have much for it yet (because they dont make much) so I have to improvise.

I added the zzap antenna for the neons on a hunch that it would fit and i love it :)

I got the 'fancy' rubber slush mats, blacked the muffler out, removed side moldings.

Next up is tinting the taillights (I want to be the first :D ) and working on something w/ an export part w/ marrakka :)

Looks nice and simple.

There is a black one around here with huge ass rims and blackouts. IDK what muffler he has but it sounds crazy on that thing.

yeah...that was the point ;) jk

Every part that you can see of the muffler is painted black w/ high temp paint. easy, cheap mod :)

yeah...you can fit big wheels on them. Stock, mine has 17" steelies and hubcaps  I know you can easily fit 20s, but Im going to go w/ 19s..I know the tires will cost a bit more, because not too many people have 19s, but I dont mind that. I wont be able to fit 20s once I lower it.

The only mufflers out now for it are the mopar performance and i believe magnaflow or borla has made one.

Ya I know 19's arent cheap LOL My cougar was running 215/35/19's and even with my discount they were like 105 a piece for toyos.

do you have to use high temp paint on the muffler, or did you just for extra protection?

no..I didnt have to...but I just thought to be safe I would. I know the muffler gets hot, but not that hot.
