Not the best pic but this was my car 2-3 years ago ready for winter... I'm so glad to be away from that! Now the car sits just as it does all year, I didn't even swap the steelies on last winter and I know I won't this winter lol. Speaking of which, I have my set of winter steelies and tires up for sale if anyone is interested

lol

yea, screw you all... heheh
My car is going into storage at the sight of the first decent snow.
Then I get out my '95 Ford Escort 5spd. It'll be nice getting it out, 'cuz then I don't have to be anal retentive on how clean it is and wear I park.
It'll be nice to not care about a car again.

hey jason, how did you get the steelies to be so shiny like that?

I think he had just recently bought those new from TireRack or one of those places. They come new that shiny.
Mine are ugly, but they'll serve their purpose.

I might just end up getting some Wal-Mart wheel covers.

Teg sits in the garage.

Dave, yours looks just like how mine sat for most of last winter haha. Tucked nicely under it's car cover in storage

Oh and henry00x... I got my cover from California Car Cover and man does it fit like a glove!
01neonrtblk - They might of been new then but they still look new after 2 seasons with them. Took this pic a month or two ago to try and sell them

not all tire makers have winter tires that fit on the srt rim without throwing off the speedo

Now that's how you prepare your car for winter.

I put back on the crabs because they have better tires than the 7-spoke with the eagle LS tires that are half roasted.

OK, I'm ready now
Money shot:
I don't know why I can't see my calipers back there? Different steelies perhaps?

They are VERY close to the calipers (they're 14's).
They've got tires with a crazy name! "
Nokian Hakkapeliitta" wtf?! Two "i"s!
And yes, I TRADED my stock silverstones with spent tires for these steelies with winter tires. At the time I thought 3 sets of rims was enough, till I wrecked the one set. Now I have my 17" centerlines, these steelies, and 2 good konigs, and 2 bad konigs.
They don't seem as "sticky" as my previous Dunlops. We shall see... when we actually get some snow. Otherwise, I'm just happy I can spin em from a roll in 1st!
Go winter wear go!!
