please, please, PLEASE don't spray paint your interior!
If you want it colored, then get a gun! trust me! I've done this and learned from experience! Although... all I did was sand and paint my pillars black.... DO NOT USE SPRAY PAINT!
Trust me, it WILL look horrible over time!
But... whatever... you're car man.
If you think you can do a good job, then take pictures, and 6 months down the line, take pictures again... let me know how it goes.

if you know how to paint, your fine with spray cans. but if your like other people that dont know how to paint, there is going to be runs and spots that arent fully painted. then its going to look like shit...

and the fact he said 98 cent spray paint... low quality means it's going to flake off in a matter of hours.

no matter what paint you use, always got to use rubbing alcohol to clean the surface. seisephiroth, you'll be fine. if you know how to paint...thats good. but if you paint the pieces, clean the plasic with rubbing alcohol but you cant touch it after you clean it.

my spray painted stuff (not in the car anymore) lasted longer than the stuff i used a gun on....but i think i used the wrong primer w/the gun so that may be why...but everything i sprayed flaked in 2 days

My 2 Cents
I would steer clear of spray bombs unless you use a GOOD adhesive promoter and a high quality paint, ie. duplicolor,SEM,etc. or use a gun like I did, you get a better result and it will last a long time.

the ONLY paint i EVER got to stick to any of my interior parts was krylon fusion. nothign else would ever stick. that walmart shit sucks. period. but i agree with opi. everyone has to learn. whether you knwo what you are dong or not, that scheap ass paint is just that, cheap ass paint.

I used PPG paint that I had put in rattle cans at Painters supply. It cost $15 a can and no one ever could tell the difference. It was on for 3 years and never chipped or cracked.

i paintined all my interior black, rattlecanned it all, and it has yet to ever chip or flake. no runs, no fish eyes, no dead spots. Dont use rubbing alcohol, use denatured alcohol. use a good primer/adhesive promoter and paint honestly i dont think matters if u do prep work right, cure it in a warm (70+) dry room overnight or for 24 hours. lightly wetsand, dry thoroughly, clear coat. lay down a good 3-5 thin layers of color and 3-5 thin layers of clear. My interior turned out better than most of my friends with professionally sprayed interiors.

I painted all of my interior w/ dcx oem spray paint, but mine held up well for the 2 years I had it that way. But it was never glossy enough, or looked nice enough so i had it sprayed and sanded smooth by the guy that does all my paint work about a year ago, and i love it. no problems at all, and i just dust it off. the dust would just settle and stick to the spray can painted peices.
