Just a thread for me to post random pictures in... I just got this camera for Christmas... and well it's very obvious I need practice. I take crisp pictures with the Auto mode.. but these were all on man settings and what not... It's obvious on manual I'm having problems focusing on the actual object.. It seems I'm focusing on a corner of the object and that's it.. Oh well... here are a few crappy pictures. I'll keep practicing.

Increase your f-stop, the little f value, should appear next to your shutter speed, that increases the focus area. You should be able to get a larger area of sharp focus.
