Its been a while since I've read this board or any of the Neon forums. I'm finally getting my back on the road, it was taken off in 2005 and outta the show scene. This is what it looked like before:
Picture of the Engine Bay:
The car is going thru a more sleeker look then in the past. Removal of the wing, graphics and busted up R34 front fascia, and new rims.
The tails have been tinted, and i've got a Xenon front fascia, and some 17" BSA rims. Here's a picture of the rims:
I'll post pictures once I get the car back on the road.
Thanks for looking!

I remember you from back in the day on the .org. I remember watching the build up of your car. If I remember right you were one of the very first with that kit. Can't wait to see new pictures as the changes take place.
Sullygully is really going to want new rims now.
EDIT - Am I reading your sig right, do you really have TWO SRT-6 Crossfires?

I'd love to see some pictures of those.

Yes its the car from Ebay. Also in many magazines / articles, even the Mopar Performance catalog, and a SEMA hand out from Mopar.
As far as the hood goes, I can't imagine anyone else having this kit. It was a one off at the time. Its four tubes bent up to hold the hood like this. What I had to do was go to a show. Remove my hood, put these tubes on the car (shock towers, etc) and then place hood back on top. Yes it was a PIA but well worth it as NO one had this mod. I'll try and find the tubes and take some pictures so everyone can see what it looks like.

Yes my car was one of the first ever R34 kits on a neon. I had pictures taken of the kit when it was in my garage, and the company used them on EBay to sell the 2gn R34 kit. Now its all over EBay - it was part of the agreement to get the kit so cheap.
The car has seen better days now. you guys wouldn't believe it was the same car. I've sold off the Katzkin seats, as I won't be doing much shows anymore - and not really interested in winning. If I do go it would be just to hang out with friends. I picked up a complete 2gn interior, seats / with door panels for $100 that will be installed into it.
I wanted to go for a sleeper style this time, not like the old FnF car when I first built it. Its time for a change, maybe cause i'm getting older now too. Might be older but still young at heart..!

I gotta hook up with the guys in 10th element again, as I've been away for a while. Got bitten by the bug again and need to get my Neon back on the road.
EDIT - i'll have to try and snap some pictures of the SRT6 for you guys.

jeffford from Detroitneonowners and Neons.org had that hood kit. I had to help him put it on for autorama. Unbolting the hood was not fun at a show. Its looks so nice and clean though

There were alot of plans for it, but I just don't have the time to do what i'd like to. So its mainly going back to a good looking sleeker look - then in the past. (ie. original seats, keep my trunk, etc). Being a show car, I hardly drove that thing. In the 5 yrs i've owned it only put on 20K miles total on it. I wanted to get drive it everyday - but also wanted it to turn heads.
So , we'll just have to wait and see how it turns out. lol

Yes I remember that. I've always tried to help fellow enthusiasts as much as I could. My R34 front fascia got hit by a flying truck tire and broke it all up.
So I just went tonight and picked up a Xenon bumper for $200, and also picked up the BSA rims (shown above). Today was like Christmas Day for me... LOL

I was also able to find some of the old Image mirrors. All of the parts are heading to the painters tomorrow (ie. fascia, trunk, mirrors, avs spoiler). If this weather holds out here in Michigan, should have new pictures up shortly.

Here's some pictures I just took of the mirrors (need to be painted solar yellow):
They are also full sized mirrors, not the small one you see alot out there in the market.
