i dont think a decal/scheme like that woudl look right on a CF hood. only on a stock hood... or you could get a CF hood and paint the sides to match the car adn leave a CF section that shape in teh middle....?

If I get a carbon hood, there's not going to be ANY painting except for maybe flat clear...if I wanted to paint something, I'd get my AAR hood done, but I'd rather paint my stock hood cuz there's not a lot of work to paint it.

I've seen a flat clearcoated one also...it was on the Sport Compact Car Mag's SRT-4 that they did the AAR theme to as well...

Yes...

But I understand why you would want to get away from paint, but this is a hot look... The challenger with the carbon and painted hood proved that!

I don't deny that it would look good...and I might possibly do that someday...just not right away. I can't spend a shit-load of money this year...at least not on the hood itself.

Go OEM style carbon, with the old school theme.

Paint (i don't care if you don't want to paint, do it anyways) the outer parts of the hood, and leave the inner shape CF. That is going to be your BEST option, hands down.

very deep, almost to the fibers.

its been recleared...the shop i use said that he couldnt sand them out they are so deep. Im thinking im going to have them sand it down as far as possible and paint it gloss black one day. but probably not. its not that noticeable from a distance. ill snap a pic when i get my camera back from best buy.
