new pics of the engine bay

BEFORE

you may notice that the catch can is zip-tied in and there is duct tape on my intake.

AFTER

i mounted the catch can with a hose clamp, it doesn't move at all now. I also put hose clamps on the hoses connected to the can, just in case.
As for the intake, I replaced the duct tape with electrical tape...it looks a little cleaner that way. I will be lookin for a new grommet during spring break.

I only have one stud right now to hold the injector cover but another is on the way. do you think i should take the cover off for now? or will it be fine with just one for now?

I will be gettin everything scrubbed down in the next week or two, its hella dirty in there. Ever since i got this hood, which has a mondo gap, it seems like everything ends up in my engine bay, dust, bugs, leaves, etc.

probably should take it off to be safe, and not risk any damage.

have you ordered the stud yet, if not and you are having trouble finding one, let me know and i should be able to get one at a yard when i go this weekend.

I have one ordered, hopefully it will be here in the next few days. When i ordered the cover it took them about 2 weeks to get it here...this time i did overnight, and seein as its just a stud it shouldn't be too bad on shipping.

I liked how it looked behind the headlight a lil more. and i ran into clearance issues w/ the intake, the battery and the transmission....it was just easier to throw it up by the headlight

try simple green, or brake cleaner.. give the motor a good coating, make sure to wrap your alternator and coilpack in a plastic bag so it won't get those things wet. Then scrub at the parts with whatever cleaner you decide to use, and then gently rinse it all off... lots of ppl wash thier engine with a pressure washer, and cleaning solutions, but i find it too risky to spray that much pressure under the hood!
