Thats just what you PAY someone, doing it yourself isn't nearly as expensive.

all the OEM setups i checked into .. just for the hardware ... and me doing work ... was a whole lot higher then what i would be willing to spend...

True, however if you ever decide to sell it, you can sell all the hardware for as much as you picked it up for, you cant say that about most parts for neons. And as far as parts go, you just need to be creative.

if i ever luck out and find a set cheap in a local yard i might do it .. till then lights like this will work .. esp since right now my stock lights really need a good buffing and sanding to get them to be clear again ...

yeah, about the moisture.. hint to everyone who buys any kind of aftermarket lense's, especially off ebay, SILICONE THEM YOURSELF BEFORE INSTALLING... every lense I have ever gotten off ebay got moisture in them, they dont seal those worth shit usually, I bought a set of blk housed projectors for my turbo'd accord and they got so much moisture in them I had to take them apart to dry them out and then reseal them :banghead:

ONTARIO,
CA, US 03/28/2007 10:19 P.M. DEPARTURE SCAN

Good job dude, did you hook up the halos or LEDS? As far as aiming:
Image
You use those screws to the top left and middle right to aim. Search around this thread for lambostealths aiming instructions.

yes i hooked up the LED and halo. I might take out the bulbs in a few weeks and replace them with a better bulbs. BTW what type are the high and low beam bulbs.

Yes, please aim them properly per my posts in this thread, thy are aimed way too high. Projectors are much more intense that reflectors, so your lights are a potential hazard.

meh, got the height of mine adjusted .. but the left/right adjuster on the pass side headlight is doing nothing to move it to the left or right ... and of course it is aimed over to the left by a noticable amount ... ebay FTW ... =P will pull it apart and figure out what to do to resolve it in the near future...

how bright was the silverstar?

Posted: Sun Apr 08, 2007 8:55 am
by -Devil-
bright, ... well it just looks a little 'whiter' then the pics you posted ... and thats with the beams going crosseyed because of the messed up adjuster

finally got mine almost tweaked enough to be adjusted right ... ended up aiming them a little to low ... so got to move each up a notch or two ... then double check and take it for a test drive again ..

i think once i get the right bulbs for my fog lights i won't need to go to a higher wattage bulb for the high beams ... just will do the mod so they stay on no matter how the switch is.
