UPDATED PICS POSTED NEAR BOTTOM OF THREAD:D

as most you know my motor took a crap on me due to my stupidity with high boost untuned. had many ideas on what i wanted to do, and well i came to a decision. i couldnt keep it a surprise any more. the majority of the stuff arrived today and im excited as ever!!! i was like a 5 year old on christmas day when i ripped open all the stuff. well here it is. the start of the rebirth.

what you see here......
DCR treated pistons, DCR treated eagle rods, DCR rod and main bearings, DCR oil system package (windage tray, crank scrape, bigger pick up tube, big filter w/ big filter kit, treated gears w/ OE housing), and finally DCR water/alchy injection kit

How much was the water kit?
I'm thinking about one as the next mod.

250 + shipping i think. it comes with everything needed to turn the stock windshield washer fluid bottle/pump into a water injection system. also comes with a default switch that triggers the w/i to start spraying at 15psi.

quoted from the man himself
This kit comes with all lines, fittings, one way check valve, self activating pressure switch and hardware necessary to convert your windshield washer reservoir over to a water injection kit. It is self activated by boost pressure @ 15 psi. (preset). Your factory windshield washer pumps @ 60 psi insuring plenty of flow and pressure for proven water injection. This provides as much resistance to spark knock as 6-8 points of octane increase would. Lower a/fs about .2 -.4 and egt's 100-200 degrees. It will increase performance drastically depending on you mods.

So it was a bad tune that caused your car to go? I want my car to make that kind of comeback

hahaha kyle i forgot you were on here. you never post.

kevin_gp - it wasnt really a bad tune. it was the fact that i never had it tuned. for a while i was running it with a 20psi spike and falling off to about 16psi holding till redline. it was fine like that for a while untuned, but still needed to be tuned to get more power out of that much boost and be able to hold more till redline (fuel and timing was off). i got my afc neo in and was gonna go tune within a week or so of getting it. i got greedy though. i decided to get it to hold 20psi when i went to the track. ran it a few times and then was gonna turn it down till i went to tune, but i noticed it smoking like hell the next day after the track. it sucks. now i know not to get greedy with the boost.

i just finished gathering all the fuel mods together with this whole bottom end purchase. so next i gotta get the bigger turbo and a few drivetrain and top end mods. then ill be ready to start ripping it all apart and installing stuff. im aiming towards the beginning of summer or middle of summer for it to be done.

Ahh got you. For a while I was running stock internals with 8 psi (9.81 compression and inconsistent timing) and decided to back off. Defiantly not something to mess around unless you are on a dyno or really really know what you are doing. Defiantly good to see you have a buttload of parts to install. Next time I go to orlando we should meet up or something, i mean that in a totally hetrosexual way

You have no idea how jealous I am. But a turbocharged car and a 17 yo driver wouldn't exactly be a good combination. Can't wait for the finished result!

^^haha ha yeh i seen too many srt's wrecked that way. not saying you are one of them that would wreck it though.

opi - yeh you were right

kevin_gp - i agree with you 100%, and next time you come to orlando and want to meet up just pm me ahead of time so i can make sure im free. however, the car will most likely end up down in miami at lujan motorsports for tuning and possibly the build so if you wanted to come check it out for the day it is dynoed you are more than welcome since i see it says you live down in miami.

as for carlisle....ive always wanted to go sooo bad!! you have no idea. i just cant see me putting that kind of mileage on the neon. it usually falls on a day that im already off on vacation in georgia too.....so most the time i cant make it even if i was to fly out there. i keeep saying though; if you bring it to somewhere in florida i will be there definitly or at least 80% chance...till then it is always an up in the air kind of thing if i would come or not.
