I never knew that there were variations of valvecovers. That one has a vacuum fitting on the top, while mine (and most that ive seen) uses one mounted on the driver side of the valvecover, near the battery. Whats the deal with that anyhow? I never noticed.

haha that makes MUCH more sense. I just caught a glimpse of it and was like wtf. Since he lists a 2gn in his sig I assumed it was for a, oh I dunno, 2GN!!!

nice. welcome to the red first gen valve cover on a second gen neon club.
don't bother trying to use your second gen valve cover seal. It won't work.

Thanks for the tip
It was easier to send the extra one I had laying around than to take the one off my car and not drive my car

Yeah, the gasket kits are definitely different. I don't know about the spark plug tube seals, but from what I saw when I swapped mine, the individual bolt seals and the large gasket are different.
Congrats on entering the 1gn Valve Cover club! Mine's gloss black with polished lettering.

why would you need a head gasket kit for the valve cover?

I take it you meant valve cover gasket kit, and yes, that's all I did.

Yeah that would be what I meant
Thanks for the link. Had great information and everthing I needed
Main reason for using the 1gn VC was to get it powdercoated and it was free.
