Yup, my cars riced out, and you know what? I like it that way, mine will get more looks, draw in more ass, and have more photos taken of it. I like it that way.

In the same breath however, I'm riding on full range BC Inverted Coilovers, completely upgraded brakes (including a swap from drums to discs), upgraded sways, and my bodykit more than likely produces a lower coefficient of drag being that it is lower. The wing pictured in my sig is gone, however it does indeed produce downforce that would help keep the car stable at speed, I know it did as, now that it is gone, the car feels lighter in the rear at speed.

But, in all reality, the only reasons that those parts are on the car in the first place was to please me, not my car.......it seems happy either way.

Here's a pic of my car. As you can see it has been lowered but it's not to the point where it's dragging on the ground. This gives it better cornering therefore benefitting the car.
The spoiler on the back definately helps to stablalize the car at high speeds. I drive a Sonatat that has no spoiler on it and I can tell the differance between having a spoiler and not having a spoiler.

No actually I dont think I have acted like that at all, but there is really no need to bring out words like "Fag", I think most of us grew out of that when we were teenagers.

Which is why, aside from the altezzas (If that is what they are, I cant really tell) I would not consider your car rice, everything was done for a purpose, and It still looks good, and not tackey.

sorry was just using most other people's mentality ...

a lot of the 'older' people that dislike 'ricers' ... need to look back at their vans from the early 80's to late 60's ... and rethink things ... (ok so having a bed and a fridge and a wet bar in a van with a red disco ball aint all that bad of an idea)

It's times like that were the basic guideling of our definition of rice would be takin out of context, and would usually be up to the eye of the beholder to decide if its tackey or not.

Its things like bodykits, huge ass spoilers, blah blah where I would even look at our definition, small things like that I think we can take into our own hands and say that they arent really rice.

yeah, i have never really cared what others think about my car ... hell half the time i hate it and want to beat it into the ground .. but hard to argue with the 30+ mpg ...

of the cars i have owned and modified tho i will say it has held up the longest ... (me and boost do not mix ... destroyed a GTP and a mustang GT with too much boost)

yes a very simplified version would be, but as I said there are major modifications where our definition would apply, the smaller meaningless ones (Debadging) I wouldnt call rice because it does not affect anything but looks. while 20 inch rims will also affect looks, but on the same hand the performance.

We seem to agree or atleast have the same opinions on a lot of things..

I hate riced out cars.. they annoy me..

BUT... I wouldn't consider Dan's two tone neon rice... it's a show car and a very clean show car at that.

It's function over form

... in his race...a show.

As you can tell if you have seen pictures of my car... it's very stockish looking but has very MINOR things to enhance the look of it.... it's more race oritented...
