Got bored at work today....
Yeah racer... That be them. I just looked at how they installed it and mocked it up with spare steel.
As the goofball Veedub driver said, Yay for geometry..
Anyhow...\\
I just ran a good bead across ever joint that i could. If you know how to weld, you should know (but for those that dont) use caution when welding on one area for too long. The heat can warp the brace shape, and effect final fit and product.

about 6' or 8' of box tubing
1"-1.5" wide flat stock
bolts of appropriate length
drill to open up the back holes
sound about right?

ill probably mig it together, might tig it because our mig welder is a little on the wimpy side.
im just better at mig than tig. never really practiced it as much.
i also think im going to make a skid plate, either out of lexan or steel depending on whats available. so mine will probably have a couple extra pieces of the 1" wide flat stock for places to mount the skid plate.
thanks for the help.

I also want to state (because i've read you question the effects of a skid and cooling) I wouldnt worry to much about it changing the way your car cools. Unless you completely cover the underside of you car (like i plan to do) where the air escapes from the rad, then you should be fine.
I would stay away from lexan for the skid though. I would pick up a couple pieces of 3" by 3/8"... YOu prolly could off road with that son of a bitch!

im not looking for anything that strong.
i was thinking of keeping stuff from kicking up in there.
i was thinking lexan because its pretty light and it seems fairly inexpensive compared to steel.

This would def. be an issue. I bought Nemo's traction kit and never got to put it on because I need to MAKE it fit my car . Look up moderately thin (.125" - .25"?) ABS sheets on the web. Flexible and not too much $$.racer12306 wrote:im not looking for anything that strong.
