Hmmm almost as cool as my Nismo Power Brace on my S13

I like the idea on it, maybe cut down the leading edge and clean it up a bit. Make it a bit more presentable and you might even be able to market it!

I don't know exactly what it's supposed to do, but I want one too!
BTW, car looks damn cool!

And me as well...
I would either paint it or powdercoat it...

Wow... big response to that one.
I dont know if i really want to mass produce. I dont want to compete with BWoody. There unit is a nice stainless piece with pretty TIG welds. I didnt try to make mine presentable, just put it together. Ugly and functional is better to me. Its bare steel, so i knew it would rust. But i'm going to sandblast and paint it when i get a chance. Trac bars are next, but my local bearing shop has to Special order right hand thread bearings.
I might make a few runs, but not really looking to make a profit.
Oh and crucial, i thought about a skid, especially since the condensor and rad are right there up front. But i figured the bars alone would take the blunt force trauma. Plus i'm going to be using it to mount a front diffuser i've been designing.
Too the review... I cant really say how much good it did. Car feels a little tighter (no way to describe better than that). But i also set up the alignment for -1.00 camber up front the same day and its been raining here so no real tire screaming yet.
But a word of caution, in the event of a low speed wreck i would be afraid that the bars would take a bit of the impact and transmit it to the k-frame. Which mite not be a good thing.
I'll tell you guys what... I'll figure what it would cost for me to throw a few of these together and then get back with the few of you who are interested. But no vendorship here
EDIT: also want to add... With my ACR springs on here and then adding this bar I almost beached my car like a whale on the front end rack... LOL

If you dont want to make them, me and my buddy troy can do it no problem, matter of fact, i beleive he might even have the stuff to do it right now.
again, we also would do it for little to no profit just to make you guys happy!

I kinda like you guys... I'll make my money other ways.
Hey livid, its really simple. I actually just made it by looking at the BWoody install instructions. Matter of fact, i would prefer you guys make your own. Save on your own expenses. Only reason I offer is because i know not all people have access to a welder. Or the skills to use it. Mine is a little different though. They left the bars at the apex on the frame squar, i angled mine in hopes to get more of a bead down on the brace. More welds the better in my book.
Opi, the general idea is to tie in the chassis and make it more rigid. I dont know if this would count as a major upgrade... But like you said, its cool anyways. And like crucial said, make for a skid plate.
Only problem i foresee is that if i make one and send it to someone and they have damage to the lower radiator support, then it would fit. Mine has ever been curbed (been a snow plow though! lol)
Sorry i keep writing essays guys, i'm a talker...

if you are willign to make one for the price of cost/shipping/few bucks for labor, i would LOVE to have one. since i cant weld and dont have materials, id rather buy one.. LMK man.

yeah...I cant weld either obviously.

but my radiator support is damaged, so

What's the matter with your support?

Someone wrecked my car before I got it and I didnt know it at the time I bought it because I was young and stupid. Nothing mechanical is damaged, but the radiator support is bent back and it didnt get repaired when it shouildve been so my body kit braces are braced off of that. I believe i need to take the bumper off to knock it back out, or ill have to have the braces on the very front redone. It hasnt really posed a problem, except I cant change my transmission filter, its pushed over the bolts so I cant get to them, just barely.

if you wouldnt mind maybe PM me some directions. i might make one of them.
one thing i wonder about a skid plate is air movement for the engine cooling. a skid plate would be nice for some instances.
anyone know about the effects of a skid plate on engine cooling?
edit: i just looked at the pics again. appears pretty simple. maybe just some tips about mounting it and i would be all set. also, what do you think about moving the bars towards the outside at the front to allow better filter access? just to make less of a mess mainly.

I just talked to Troy, we have most of the stuff in stock to build about 7-8 of these. Y'all are looking at $100-150 shipped. We are going to take some measurements in a few to get a better idea for a price. Once we get a price we can have them built in about a day ready to install with all hardware included. So I should have more info later today. Just let me know, I might start a GB if Jason lets me.
Stand by for the stand by!
