Dee Dee, Your Blu is looking great as always. I love the places you find for your photo shoots. Might I just say that, I believe if you just remove the door moldings you wont regret it one bit. If you take your time and use TLC, you'll be so very please with the outcome. I can't tell you enough how it changes the whole appearance of your baby, for the better. You've already debadged most everything else, so you know the condition of your paint under the adhesive. In my opinion the guards never really helped out with dumb ass people leaving dents as they never seamed to have hit them, just elsewhere on the doors.
Well, anyway keep up with the great work you've put into your baby! Take care as always.....

Thanks a lot David... yeah finding places to have shoots at are kinda fun lol. Just look at those pics and you can see even a big yellow pole coming up out of the ground is kind of interesting LOL. Just goes to show you even the not so nice areas can look awesome on film.
Yeah, I know what your saying about the doors too. Im gonna do them, just havent had the energy to do it yet LOL. I dont have a garage to work in so the weather will have to be better for me to go do it LOL. I cant stand being cold lol. Plus I think in the warmer weather they would come off easier as well. Your right about the dings, They do happen on other places instead of where the guards are lol shrugs. Maybe Ill have that energy after my hibernation this winter LOL. Anyways.. thanks a lot again. Hope you and your family have a safe an awesome thanksgiving!
Brian.... Yeah I do need to get the decal on it lol. Jason and the others are trying to find a new vendor for them right now.

Dee Dee,
As for the door moldings, just a heads up on how I achieved my success: I use a hairdryer (Lowest setting) and some fishing line (in a seesaw motion) to carefully remove the moldings (in our beautiful 75 degree California weather). I then used the hairdryer again to heat up the leftover adhesive and peeled with my finger tip only (no nail) I got most, but not all of it off. I then used some Turtle Wax Bug and Tar remover and patently got the rest of the adhesive off. The I used some rubbing compound followed by some polishing compound followed by a quick wax, until the next weekend when I did a full detail on the entire car. Also just to let you know I did this entire project over a 2 day period. Passenger side on Saturday (6 hours), then the Drivers side on Sunday (6 hours). I probably could have done this a lot faster but slow and steady wins the race, right? I'm by no means trying to scare you off, I just thought if you know what your getting yourself into you could plan ahead. Do it right, and enjoy your hard work for a lifetime of enjoyment.
Thanks for the well wishes for the holiday. I hope you and your loved ones have a safe and great time yourself.... Hugs, hugs and more hugs...

~David~

good thing... pics of a sunken neon, though maybe cool, would not be fun in the end.
