srt side skirts and door caps, Not 56K Friendly.

Post by gilly02le » Wed Jun 27, 2007 3:44 pm

i picked up some srt skirts and door caps from someone on here a while ago, and i finally decided to mount them, even though they are e-blue, i really just wanted to see how they fit, and i think they look pretty good, aside from the fact that they aern't painted to match yet...with any luck ill be back to work again soon, and i can get my r34 front and back bumpers painted, and fitted. In picture three you can see a bunch of dents in the door, those are all from kind people parking too close to me, and hitting me with thier doors!!! so frusterating....ah well, those will be rolled out when i get it painted!

they should match up just about perfectly... right now it looks a lil wacked because the front is like 3 inches higher then the sides, same with the rear, and the r34's are about that much lower then my stock bumpers..ill get some better shots from the side so you can see the difference.

EDIT: here are some side shots from a bit of a distance, you can see theres a pretty big difference, between the sides and the front and back, the r34 bumpers, should line up pretty well..

I like the e-blue and yellow look. But this is also coming from a guy who had a yellow front bumper on his blue neon for 3 years

Good luck! I'm really not sure how much lower the R34 front is than the stock, but I'm pretty sure it's going to be lower than the sides, which will look like ass IMO, but I could be wrong. Hope everything fits like you hope!

it all lines up perfectly.. thus why i have what i have.. imho the r34 skirts couldn't get any worse.. and are friggin low as hell compared to the rest of the kit.. which looked like ass.. and so i got these ones that line up great...

Personally, I'd get the EVO rear...I think it would match your sides and front MUCH better!

Image

and eastwood were you wondering about the skirts, or the r34 kit.?
srt skirts and caps, 250$, r34 front back and sides 450$.. now i just need to get another job so i can get everything painted and installed..

i agree as well.. i think the way the srt sides are shaped, will look good with the way my bumpers are shaped! I chose that rear, because i liked not seeing the bumper support, thru the kit like some of the other bumpers are set up.

Now, the next question is, what to do with the exhaust? go duals? or find a better muffler for single outlet? And, what hood would look good with this setup...

i think it would look better with that rear, the srt sides, and the type-r lip on your stock front......not a big fan of aggressive front bumpers, and i think the lip would look alot cleaner

heres the front as it sits in my spare room.. Haven't had this on the car before.. but just like that i don't see many 2gns with it..
Image

what interesting is that there are only 2, 2gns in my whole city of 125,000 ppl.. that are kitted.. one with the zenon kit, looks great minus the gizmo-gadget wing, and the fact that they bought it used with that kit from the dealer. The owners are both like 60 years old.. its actually really funny to see how slow they drive it.

And the other.. a girl in college owns.. its an sx 2.0 with the full evo kit, for a 00-02 i might add.. so shes got some nasty gaps under the tails, and nice squares where the turners should be, and to top it all off, she went and airbrushed flat-red-flames down the side, and i kid you not, i could have made better looking flames, with a Crayon! So, i need to make sure i keep the looks as far from what they have, as possible hahaha.

IMO... think you shouldn't got the other r34 front...

Image

It looks better cuz the openings are bigger..

Notice the difference...

yea, well i bought my bodykit from someone else who allready bought it.. so i had no choice.. 450 dollars for brand new 2 bumpers and skirts was too good of a deal to pass up..call me stupid.. but i kinda like the less agressive look of the one i have.. plus, i hate when you can easily see thru a kit to the frame.. thats why i like the rear i have too.. however, if i was boosted.. i would probably rather have the second, looks like an intercooler would fit in there nicely!

hahha ah yess.. after the body is done, its tranny swappin time, and then its time for a snail! another thing is, i could definatly cut the bumper i have, and make the opening bigger.. it would take some time and work.. but i think it could be done if need be...
