so do you know who did it, I take it they have insurance? it should cover if it was there fault... or was it a hit and run? I say get an SRT4! Or if they can fix it, and frame not bent, get a who new srt rear section, bumper, trunk and spoiler.

I don't see $4300 worth of damage. Without really seeing under the bumper at least. Looks like you'd need:
-Rear bumper cover
-Reinforcement/foam
-Trunk lid
-Stick it on a "frame" machine (we don't have frames--we have unibodies)
Your muffler looks ok, your quarter looks ok, from the pics. Taillight looks ok too??
Bodywork would probably only be on the quarter panel, if at all. When I got rear-ended all they did was blend the quarter into the rear bumper and what not (which is retarded because it didn't need it) Anything else will be just $$ into the paint that goes onto the already-ready to paint bumpers.
What about the trunk? The spare tire well? Is it crumpled or anything? Mine was. They fixed it... no big deal.
Honestly, I think it is far from totalled. Especially if you would somehow get $ from insurance and fix it yourself (used bumper, trunk, etc and then paint them or have them painted). That's the way I would go.
I have been rear-ended, hit some curbs causing damage, and also slide sideways into a curb and wrecked 2 wheels and my whole suspension. Car still functions normally and has normal gaps in between body panels. I even replaced the k-member because the big curb incident.
It's fixable, just are you willing to fix it?
More pics from underneath/without bumper cover would be good, too.

i had a similar looking accident in my neon and they cut me a 3000 check and i replaced the bumper and trunk and got the entire car painted. if you insurance is totaling it out see how much it would be to buy it back they sell you the entire car for like a grand or two..
