what type of paint did you use...i wouldn't mind spraying mine red

I'm using DupliColor Chevrolet Orange engine paint. If you do, be sure to use DupliColor's adhesion promoter before you start priming/painting. Gives it an extra "bite" to the plastic. That paint gives a great glossy finish too!
I'm just about done with the color on the valve cover as well...after this last coat is set, I'll give 4-5 shots of clear and then I'll be done with that as well! Stay tuned for more pics...

Well I went through 2 cans of orange paint ($12), two cans of clearcoat ($12), some sand paper($8), wax and grease remover ($5), and a wire rack ($14), so add that all up and it was roughly between $50-60 total. I did spend more than that, but because I am working on more than one project right now.

INSTALLED PICS NOW!
It think it's going to look great with how you've done the outside.

Makesure you get some nice stainless hardware to attach the valve cover.

Hey...that's a good idea! Thanks bud! I would also like to paint the yellow container lids black too, but I dont know how to take them off to paint them. Oh, and I'm probably going to paint the oil cap to match as well

You should have installed pics tomorrow, so don't get your thongs in a bunch now!

That's right...there may not BE muscle, but I really don't care. I don't plan on racing this car in any way, shape or form. Purely cosmetic
