LEARN HOW TO DRIVE!! Pics!

Post by hound9164 » Mon Aug 20, 2007 2:39 pm

is it just me, or do you all agree that if you cant even pull out of your driveway without crashing your car, that you should never be allowed to get your license?? the asshole 17 yr old across the street did 40mph out of his driveway, and smashed in my beautiful black neon. OH THE HUMANITY!!

that car survived a 2500 mile roadtrip, 4 chicago winters, female drivers, hail, and a tornado, but it couldnt survive being parking in my neighborhood!

I agree!

Ouch! Thats horrible. You know you shouldn't be driving when you hit a parked car.

Does the kid (or mommy & daddy) have insurance to take care of that? From the pics it looks like he just damaged that one door, did it hurt the rocker or door jam? If its just the door then it'll be a much easier fix.

Damn man, that sucks. Hopefully it's covered and fixable, it's a nice looking car.

As far as "you should never be able to get your liscence if you can't back out of a driveway without crashing", is a stupid statement. The same thing happened to me that happened to you, except I was the one backing out. It was at night, my rear window was fogged over, and it was ontop on a hill coming out of a blind driveway. I was concentrating on making sure I didn't get smoked by a driver coming over the hill and didn't see the SUV parked on the street behind my car. Long story short, $2500 later out of my pocket, everthing was fine. Accidents happen dude, and I feel sorry for what happened to you, but just cause someone has an accident doesn't mean they shouldn't be allowed to drive.

Good luck with getting it all fixed!

you should accidentally run your fist into his face at 40mph.

Yesterday I parked my Motobike behind a VW Camper, locked the handle bar - and just a moment before i want to dismount - he ranged backwards. Only thing I could do was to roll back.
(With locked handle bar not really easy!!! I think in this moment it looked really retarded..)
If I had parked and leave just a second faster - he had upset my bike. Idiot.

Last year my brother moved my old car (01 pt cruiser) out of the driveway and then backed right into it, caused $3800 damage to the side of the car
and to Rapley you had a valid excuse as to why it happened to you and thats understandable, but with this kid being 17 he probably just wasn't paying attention exactly like what my brother did, speeds like hell going out and never looks. I agree that some people just shouldnt have a license
and i agree that 17 year old definatly needs :slap:

WOW, flashback! I got a similar story but I'll spare you the details and just say I ended up with almost the exact same dent for almost a month before the other guys insurance finally kicked in to fix it.
I couldn't roll down my window, and the handle and lock were screwed. The damages came to a little over $1,300 to fix because it was all exterior. Just replaced the door, gaskets, handle, and transfer the door card, mirror, power controls, re-tinted window, and lock. And of course paint match.

Sorry about that, good luck getting it all sorted out. Hopefully this will be the thing that straightens this kid out and makes him a more alert and responsible driver.

that sux man, I have only had my car damaged once by someone else, an old guy about 80 was filling up his car in front of me while I filled up mine. I went to the other side fo the car to get something out of the driver seat and during that time he got into his car back up for no reason and started to take off... he hit my bumper hard enough to move my parked car forward over a foot

Then he said that he couldn;t afford to report it to his insurance, and I said too bad. Sorry old man, you play you pay. I would have paid out over 700$ in cash to get it fixed. But his insurance had it covered in less than 3 days it was repainted fixed and ready to roll :D

I NEW IT!!! FORD DRIVERS really do suck. Unless this is a HUGE coincidence. Watch out for the Ford drivers you guys, they tend to start accidents. I have a million examples.
