Wanted to get some good pictures of my newly shaved door trim, so I went down to the abandoned industrial park on the outskirts of town. Total whoreage.

Wow, Your Neon looks great... If you don't mind me asking, hows the paint that was under the molding? I've been wanting to do the very same thing. Does it look as nice up close and in person as it does in your pictures?

Well, the passenger side turned out better then the drivers. Under the molding the paint bubbled a bunch of tiny bubbles. Not noticeable unless you're really looking for it. After cleaning the paint I took an orbital buffer along it and it cleaned up nicely, however up close you can tell there was molding there. I've still got more work to do on the paint.

Previous owners neglected the paint and lived on a dirt road so there is discoloration that I'll have to get some more aggressive compound on it.

It is reverseable though, just some 2 sided tape to put it back on if you have problems.

And thanks, I pride myself in a clean vehicle, even if it is a Neon (don't take that in a bad way)

Thanks for the tips, they will come in handy when I get nerve to do this myself. Again your Neon looks great. Job well done, because it does look CLEAN.

It was dead stock, I don't think he's been back since he wrecked his truck.

It was dead stock when I got rear-ended.
