Stand on your scale. If it says you weigh 100, then it might not be workingdanman132x wrote:Well the stock rims weighed in at about 19 lbs, but I find this hard to believe. It might be my house scale thats not 100% accurate though.
Seriously tho, the wheels are teh s3x. I'm jealous, even though mine are 17's, yours look race-inspired.

I know this isnt going to go over very well, but i would put the stockers back on until you can get some springs on that thing. Its tooooo tall.

I dont understand the point in buying rims and not getting bigger wheels. why spend the money and get wheels the same size. The rims look nice but would look tem times better in a 17 or an 18. also i hope you relize that when you lower the car you will still have some terriable wheel gap because the size of your wheels. the only wat to fix that is to bag it.

because not everyone wants the added weight of a bigger rim, not to mention tires cost a HELL of a lot more with that added inch, and the wheel gap wont be terrible with his car...
and after my experience, bags just suck.
unless you have the money, it's just not worth it

yeah I don't think he cares as much about airbags and wheel gap as he does performance. Bags (I've said this many times before) are not the way to go for performance. And I have some wheel gap, too... but I wanted a little rebound room, since I'm also more interested in performance.
His new wheels are light. And they look nice. Yes, he should get lowering springs, and yes that will improve the looks, but he should get lowering springs because he seems to be interested in performance and those will yield him better results.

Yeah, and I have to say that 03blackrt's car is DA SHIZNIT! I never thought 15's could look that good on a car!03blackrt wrote:I went an inch SMALER than stock. 15's FTW! 13lbs each FTW! Foolish me...
And I bet if he went from a 15 to a 16, you wouldn't be saying anything...because he went BIGGER. Bigger isn't always better...

I TOOK THE HOOD SCOOP OFF TODAY !
I will get pics sometime soon. Looks great. The only problem are three nickel sized spots where the person who intalled it used super glue. I've got a lot off it off, and I'm letting goo-gone sit on it overnight. It got rid off all the other tape/glue for the most part, and the paint underneath is great.
I did surface scratch the hood along the edge of the scoop when I was sliding a plastic spatula under it to lift it up
GX-27 scratch remover is BS.
