I dont know if its just me but if you look at the very first pic of the silver srt-4 2 door. The front rims are biger then the rear rims

I'd have to say that this would have been better than the caliber... hands down!
+1 I LOVE this!! I dont normaly like hatchbacks but I like this one I dont know why, it just looks better than ANY hatchback out there... maybe because its a dodge neon SRT-4

well... it's a good photoshop, but it's still ugly. no matter what, if you wanted a 2 door neon, you'd have to shorten the wheel base not just lengthen the door

You know, I was looking at a PT convertible side by side with a PT Cruiser... the former being a 2 door and the latter a 4 door.

That's all they did, was elongate the front doors. I bet this could be done.

Hmm....

i still think that if somebody good with photoshop could take about a foot out of it just in front of the rear wheel it would look a TON better

No. No. No. Looks funny with that short wheelbase. More like a bigger smart rolling around with the almost "all four sides equal" wheelbase...

well it's either you lengthen the door or shorten the wheel base. either way looks like crap. unless somebody can make the shortened wheel base look good, cause i've heard WAY too many boos on the long door

That last pic...She's not that bad looking, better than the elongated door. The shortened wheel base means better on the curves.... with the 2.4L that would be HHHHHOOOOOOOOTTTTTTTT (/singing angels).

Not to mention the PT Cruiser has a shorter wheelbase by 2 inches and its overall length is 6 inches shorter then the Neon...

If you tried to drive that on the roads I drive on without having an extremely stiff suspension, you'd lose a good inch off of that trim .

There isn't anything in it yet. I talked about this a loooonngggg time ago and its just now that the time is here. I'll hopefully have pics of some progress this weekend. Its nowhere near done but closer than anyone else I believe.

Slightly longer doors. I've done a rear clip where I cut the back half off and welded on a good one, its a bitch. I think shortening the wheelbase would be way more than I would want to do. Not only are the unibody panels made to match up but you would have to shorten brake lines, fuel line, and shorten the roof which would mess up the body lines.

u know it wouldnt be hard to make it a two door but you have to think most two doors are huge, for example take a 1st gen 4 door compare it to a 2 door, the 2 door, doors' are longer. all you have to doo is cut out the entire B pillare and stretch the door as far as you want it and then weld in the b pillar were u want. if i had a donor car i would deffently do it.
