did you also notice that it's a metal case? yeah, that's old. the makita you see in front of it is actually the replacement for that one. the dewalt went to shit. but the saw and grinder are in tip to.... well we'll just say tip shape, not tip top. i am by far a dewalt fan, but the reason i got the makita is cause i bought a brand new dewalt with the 3 speed selector and it went to shit right away. i brought it back to the home depot and they explained that they've been getting quite a few back, so i just went with the makita

which tool was it that died fast? when did it happen?

the BRAND NEW dewalt drill i bought. it's the new design with a 3 speed selector. the selector gets stuck on them. the guy even said that dewalt might discontinue them already.

damn, i cant think of it off the top of my head. corded or cordless? got a part number?

i think i know what it is now. 36V?

by Hudson_Neon
no, it was an 18V. has a selector that shifts across the top. and an auto-locking chuck. wish i could have stayed dewalt but it turned out that the makita is an 18V, weighs less, and costs the same

oh btw... off topic, but it's MY thread so whatever... i just sent jason a pm about becoming a vendor. we'll see what happens. if all goes well i might be doin some group buys for things like strut bars, catch cans, and solid torque struts (redesigning on sunday)
