Took a few pictures yesterday when he was in town. We'll probably take some more this coming weekend as well. This was the first time I got to ride in the car since it's running 14psi....it made me smile.

Well, I haven't made it to the dyno yet. I really should get on a dyno sometime, because I'm rather curious as well. I'll get around to it one of these days.

I think a blacked out intercooler and raccoon headlights would be cool.

Exactly. That's why I like it the way it is. I think the only thing the front could really use is a lip. I'm sure it would look slick with a lip, but driving it around here would probably tear it up. That's why I'm hesitant to do that just yet.

Well, here's the deal. I can't take off the side moldings or the spoiler. The car was repainted before I got it (previous salvage title), and whoever painted it did a craptastic job. So, if I were to remove the side moldings and spoiler the car would need to be repainted again to fix everything. Which just means untill I'm ready to paint the car everything stays on.

Why do people call cars "sleepers" and so often misuse the term?

Putting nice wheels on a car kills its sleeper status.

Having a bright color or (sometimes) foglights or some other snazzy accessory kills its sleeper status.

A base model with plastic wheel covers and a built turbo engine is a sleeper.

A 1G with a bone stock exterior that ISN'T an R/T or a Sport version is a sleeper.

This car isn't.

I'm not putting this car down. It's clean and respectable. It's just not a sleeper.

A sleeper would have its IC painted black IMO

Actually, they were telling him to black out the FMIC so it would give it the "sleeper effect." And in comparison, it would give the car a "sleeper" effect blacking out the FMIC rather than the bright silver...

So. Freakin. Sick.

I really hope you can make it out to Carlisle this year or I can make it out there and see this beast in person.
