I had to do a custom cutout.

BR, is that the same part as what the '03+ peeps are using? I didn't realize the mopar rear lip would fit on the back of an '00-'02.

Hansken, what do you mean by "custom cutout"?

my exhaust is wider than the stencil cut outs on the lip. So, I had to make my own stencil to accommodate my exhaust. That is what I meant by custom cutout. :)

That's right, you're a swap.... what exhaust are you running with?

So does anyone know how much the rear lip alone typically costs?

you cant get the rear lip alone.... you have to buy the front and rear together

Hmmm I like the way the rear lip looks on an earlier 2GN. Maybe I will hunt around for one.

Apparently, yes

Looks good, too! Actually it's given me a lot to think about, because I was originally interested in the Kaminari lip kit, but I think for the rear what you have, blacked out, looks better.

Mine's painted flat black, but I didn't feel like hacking up the new rear lip, so I left my rear section off and went with the clean / stealthy look.

Hacking up the new lip? I don't understand, do you have to actually cut it out to match R/T stock cutouts?

Speaking of which... BlackRoseRacing, does the lip just go right on an '00-02 or did you have to do anything special?

I would like to run this lip, but I have an '00 non-R/T bumper, so no cutouts. What do *I* need to do to make this work?

Also, I have the midpipe and rear pipe in 2.5", I just need a muffler with prewelded tips and pipe in the standard R/T positions.... who sells that without all the rest of the exhaust system?

Arrow, I had to heat up the lip to get it to somewhat mold around the 00-02 rear fascia, the side effect is in the wheel well the lip sticks out about a 1/4inch on both sides, because overall the 00-02 rear fascia is smaller than the 03+...
I threw more pics up in my project log a few weeks ago because your not the only one to ask about the rear lip....

Wow, just read through all 12 pages. Man, you sure had an experience didn't you?

So let me see if I understand this... the mopar lip needs to be heated and then pressed around the contours of the '00-'02 rear bumper.... from what I can tell, you did that AFTER it was painted. I take it you had it shot with some kind of flex additive...?

You're only using double-sided tape to hold it? Is that stuff that strong? I see three or four bolts on the bottom part tho...

Do you think I should get an R/T rear bumper or just hack up mine?

Now when you got the Mopar lip was it already cut out for the dual exhaust?

I had the lips painted at a collision shop, then when I went to install them, thats when I realized they were not going to fit properly, I heated them up using a heat gun then slowly worked them to fit the contour of the 00-02 rear fascia. The lips are held in place with double sided tape and mounting studs, and the studs are known to pull out of the fascia....
As for getting the R/T rear, dont spend the xtra money if you plan on putting on the lip kit since your going to hack it up anyways installing the lip. And no the lip only comes precut for one exhaust tip...
