New Tires - Might have to raise the car some lol
Bought some new rubber a couple weeks ago and after having them mounted and balanced ready to be put on I thought I'd put a wheel on to see what kinda clearance I had out of curiousity since I knew I'd have to raise the car up some lol. The tires that were originally on the car were made for the R/T (195/50/16) while the new tires are sized for the SRT (205/55/16) so the tires are a little taller.
Space is so tight I can't fit my finger between the gap of the tire and fender lol.... yah, gonna need to raise the car up a tad so I don't rub lol

Oh yeah, I might however take a picture or two before I raise it though b/c it looks pretty killer with only that much wheel gap lol.DannyBoy wrote:I had that problem, you're definitely gonna rub when you go over bumps.

They would be the Direzza Sport Z1 tires.

I was originally going to get the same thing I have on the black car, Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 since I really like how those feel but I didn't want to spend that much money on tires Reviews look good for these though so I hope they're right...
Yeah, I wasn't sure how the larger tires were going to look but after putting them on, they don't look half bad lol

They are by far one of my favorite tires I have ever owned. The combo of wet and dry traction is amazing. I like them alot better than the Azenis I have used in the past and a whole lot of other tires.
The Tires just grip. Doesn't matter if the road is slightly wet or dry as a bone. With my power levels I am able to spin them, but what surprises me is that even when the tires are spinning I am still moving forward pretty hard.
I have only gotten them to lose traction around a corner 1 time, My rear end slid out and I had to essentially drift it to save it. But I contributed the slide to deceleration oversteer more than I do the tires. I need a bigger rear bar and a tighter rear suspension.
I love the Direzza Sport Z1. They are my new favorite Street tire.

Thats what I wanted to hear Car should feel pretty nice when I get everything put on since it's getting traction bushings in the LCAs (if RageTek can get them still) along with new suspension bushings throughout.

Thanks for the tire reveiw Mox!
Hey Diablo0, what about turning clearence? Do you still have your wheelwell plastics because on mine I have rubbed off a spot near the windsheild washer resevoir on one side and a similarly spaced spot on the other from turning with a wider than stock tire. Just wondered if you had the same issue.

Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the back of the car. Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you're going when you hit the wall, and torque is how far you drag the wall with you.

Ah I hate you. I would kill to have enough money to find a set of those stock R/T wheels. Best looking wheels on any Neon by far.
