well at about 8 am this morning i was involved in accident...

2 cars ahead stopped suddenly and the lady in front of me, her car starting going sideways , i was bout 6 car lengths behind her,,, turned my steering wheel all the way towards the shoulder, but my car slid on a combo of ice and oil and i hit her.. this is the after math,,,

the front frame part is bent to hell, the passenger side strut tower column is mangled and bent somewhat,,, these are the 2 pics from my cellphone, the better ones from my camera will be up whenever i get a chance,,

im not ment to have a nice car!!

the engine runs, but strut tower is mangled pretty good, and the whole front end frame work at the front is shot,, my passenger side door doesnt open.. most of my fluids left the engine, so im pretty sure its done for.. those arent good pics, i have to get them off my cam.. but i dont have my cable at my moms,, the mounting plates on the strut bar are buckled up from the strut tower being screwed up

Geez dude! Glad you're OK atleast, but that is pretty gnarly! Maybe it won't be totalled? Or if it is, you could buy my car? haha

man, that sucks. glad you are alright, though. let us know what happens with insurance, etc...

daughter as a small rug burn thing from her safety seat belt...

so for the most everyone is fine

as of right now, from visual inspection it will be fixed,, unless they find alot more damage after they tear into it! so Feb. 8th at the latest i will have it back!!

now i need a new front lip!!!

Make insurance put it on, tell them it came that way.

Not to be pessimistic, but don't get your hopes up. A hit like that could have fubar'd the front end.

It's good that everyone is OK though.

yea i know..i thought that it was totaled at first too cause of what i said bout the strut tower area, but bill (the guy at the collision shop) as done two cars for our family already , my bros civic, and my moms pt cruiser, and they are the best body shop in town, he says its fixable but he already told me that is not 100%, cause of what they might find when the dig into it..

i can only hope its fixable, kbb on my car is only 8k, and we all know insurance might give me 5k if im lucky... so im keeping my fingers crossed!

Insurance should give you NADA value of the car. They will total at 75ish % of the value of the car, but that varies depending on the company.

nada says 7,300 so

7300/4 = 1800ish
7300 - 1800 = 5500

power steering pump
condenser behind radiator
and misc things behind bumper

actually the fogs r off being fixed..the one was leaking a little..the stock ones were in..

my passenger headlight hid shines 'red ish pink' color so I have to see if that is screwed up or whatnot...and the cf hood is in the attic..so I did luck out somewhat...

went to the body shop to get some of my stuff off the car.. my badge was already cracked from the accident

got my hids out, one bulb musta got water or something on it..thast what it was red tinted...

my new headlights (the got both sides) were in the trunk..

they were from TYC, and they said "black" i couldnt find them ne where online..help!?

Those TYC headlights are just the aftermarket brand similar to the '03 headlights with the dark ring around the outside of the lens.
