On the other hand, the wing in this thread truly does serve no functional purpose. It definitely slows the car down due to drag and makes the car look bad, but not so much any useable functionality.

Ever watch the SPEED channel? I've seen some pretty cool SRT Neons with big wings on the back driven and built by professionals who know what they're doing. Granted, those are race prepped cars and we are talking street Neons with well under 200 horses, but...a decent wing will create some usable downforce on even a FWD car. This has been proven countless times, regardless of what anyone on these forums may think. This does not mean I condone putting a huge wing on our cars, however.
For the record, my SRT does not have any wing on it at all. I do not approve of people "upgrading" their base model Neons with SRT wings, either. The PVO designers admitted that thing is maybe 10% function and 90% aesthetics.

To tell you the truth, i dont think it looks that bad but i am more a fan of the aluminum spoilers. these people dont like it cause they say it dont go with the simple curves of a neon....so get a bodykit that aint so simple, problem solved! lol but yea, i like it but id consider a differant one.

A wing that big and heavvy gives you more than enough downforce while parked. Its super ugly and where ever you got it from is glad they finally found a sucker to take it
