Swapped wheels (this one is for the Turbo Dodge guys)

I had 15" Pumper wheels on my previous Daytona. I finally had to put the car in the crusher a couple weeks ago. It was beyond hope and as much as that car meant to me, I had to let it go. Well, I took the shoes off of it before it got crushed. So... meet the Shelby Neon, haha.

I had planned on salvaging the wheels off of it anyway. Unfortunately, that would leave me with a whopping 4 SETS of 15" wheels kicking around! I figured I'd get rid of my chrome ones since they'd probably be worth more than the other 3 sets put together, keep my winter wheels on the early 90's old-school snowflakes, throw my summer wheels on the pumpers, and keep my original, curb-rashed 7-spoke stock SXT wheels for later.

What I'm amazed at is the fact that the color of the wheels matches the car almost perfectly! These wheels originally came from a 92 Shadow ES. That's 11 years before my Neon was around. I liked it so much that I'm de-chroming the Neon completely. Grille trim is next.

Thanks guys. I did this primarily to pay tribute to my old Daytona and also to my Dodge heritage. Again, it's cool because they match the car almost dead on, plus they say DODGE right on the center caps, so I like them.

Speaking of my heritage, in the second picture, you can see the nose of my Daytona sticking out. Man it feels so good to finally have that car running. Clean up and tuning are next on the list.

Ugh, those look so good.

By the way, I'm crab-less now.

Really? I've seen crabs on 1st gens and 2nd gens alike, and I think they look great. What made you take them off?

I just hadn't liked then in a long while, then I got a bubble in one tire, and a nail in the other. I ended up giving them to Own3d on here, since he gave me a crane ignition system, and a ride all over to get an axle for my 98 when I snapped it at the track.

That is awesome. On a semi-pumper related note that jackass still will not sell me his Iroc R/T. Anybody have pics of CGLHS centurons on a 2gn?

Yeah, something's going on with the server. I have no idea. It's been very inconsistent this whole weekend. If I log on to the FTP site, it says bandwidth exceeded, which unfortunately, I think had something to do with the video I had posted in my Daytona thread. My apologies.

Dammit! I'll move them over to my Comcast webspace tonight. I don't know what's going on with my main web space.

EDIT: Pictures moved. The links are just the ones that didn't work. That way I can be lazy and just click them to see if they work.

I dont like anything old.

In all seriousness. I do not like a lot of things from the 80s and 90s. I honestly think those wheels make the car look cheap. Well cheaper than a Neon should look.
