This 2000 Neon is my daily driver & is not washed that often so today I washed it up & took some pics , I just did the SRT-4 swap on it last month also , let me know what you think.

The swap took me & my friend about 9 hours from start to finish , but me & my friend have worked on about 8 different SRT-4's in this area in the last 4 years so we new are way around the engine bay , I had an SRT-4 a few years ago & sold it & missed it ever since , so I decided to start buying the parts I needed to swap into my daily driver a few months ago & now I have my sleeper , I got 90% of my parts in one shot from LKQonline , they are a junkyard in Cali , the engine & transmission where from a 2005 ACR SRT-4 with 20,000 miles on it & it runs & drives great .

About $4,000 for everything , it is best to find a wrecked SRT-4 in your area if you want to do a swap because then you will have everything in one car & you won't have to look for all the small parts you will need if you just piece it together like I did & it would probably be cheaper.

You are correct , I decided after I got all my swap stuff together to go ahead & buy some things I new I would end up doing later anyway before I put it all in & that was one of them.

The hardest part on mine was to find out where to cut & mod the firewall for the clutch master cylinder because mine was a 2000 neon , everything else is just taking out the old & then putting in the new stuff , everything goes in the same spot & even the wire harness all plug in the same area .

Somedays I miss my S3R SRT-4.. But then I drive my MS3 and those thoughts go away.

I enjoyed the 11second daily driver, but I'm much happier with my Mazda.

Not a perfect sleeper, but it sure as hell would suprise some people!

Steelies, 3 different shades of primer, and hazy headlight/taillights would make it a perfect sleeper.

Amazing car though! Get us a time slip!

Nice car, I like it a lot! Question though, can it really be a sleeper if you have lowered it, tint, rims, tails?

Mirrors where bought a long time ago & came off my last SRT-4 before I sold it , I think someone else has a set though in the USA besides me.

Yes .

That was me , I sold that car , started my own business , bought this 2000 Neon for my daily driver , & have bought & sold a few cars since , but my business keeps me busy so I don't have time to keep this thing clean every day like I did the SRT-4 , this car gets washed mabe once a month if that , take care man.

kc2002acr wrote:Nice car, I like it a lot! Question though, can it really be a sleeper if you have lowered it, tint, rims, tails?
Well it's a sleeper in the since that whenever someone sees me driving on the highway they probably would not even give it a second thought or think man I wonder what kind of motor they got in that Neon , & having rims & tint is pretty much every other car you see on the road now a days .

I got my hands on an MS3 today and I have to say i'm really not impressed at all.

I love the swap man, congrats on that. I'd love to do the same thing. Maybe one day i'll find a decent donor

i little off topic... but where did you get your rotors from, they looked like they were drilled and slotted... i cant seem to find a good place to get some decent ones..
