Some pics of my Peon

Post by suave23 » Tue May 27, 2008 6:04 pm

Well, it was a little dirty, and the clouds came rolling in, but I took a few shots of my car the other day. I didn't get any pictures bone stock, but the only visual differences now are the big front mount and the removal of the Dodge emblem on the trunk. I have 6000K HIDs, but forgot to get a picture at night.

Future plans call for yellow fogs (I already have the paint), a lowering (maybe S-Techs for the time being), painting the wheels (gunmetal or black with a blue lip), and maybe finding a spoilerless trunk.

I'll try to get better pics once it's really clean and the sun is out, but I don't think that will be anytime soon.

Well... it looks stock.

Get rid of your crashbar for the BFMIC? And which BFMIC is that? I hear it messs with the handling like crazy when you take off the crashbar.

Yes, I removed the crash bar. The front mount is an eBay one, can't think of the brand right off bat, but others have used it to hit 300+ whp successfully on the stock turbo, which is what I intend to do, and I like how it follows the opening in the bumper.

I didn't really notice any difference in handling after removing the crash bar, but I don't autocross or anything. I could understand why it would though, I'm sure it stiffens the front quite a bit.

Hopefully it won't look so stock in about a month when I take care of some of the things I mentioned.

I really hate how boring the blue looks in these pictures, it must be the lack of sunlight hitting the car...

Finally you put some f*ckin pics up.. geez

Looks good brother
now lower it and throw some darker wheels on there and it'll be even more Awesome! lol I think black wheels with a polished lip would look better than the blue lip, but then again, thats just my opinion

Looks great! Just needs to be lowered, and I also agree with some different wheels maybe?

Lowering and painting the wheels are in the plans, until I can find some aftermarket wheels I really like that haven't been overdone.

As for debadging, the only badge left is the SRT-4, which I'm thinking about getting a Caliber SRT badge.

I also forgot to mention that I bought TheTeejmiester's carbon fiber B and C pillars, which are now on their way.

Thanks for all the positive feedback. I painted the fogs tonight. I got the color how I wanted and was able to lay the paint down smooth as a baby's arse, but after checking on them an hour or so after the last coat there's a few dirt nibs in one and a tiny insect landed on the other and got stuck, lol. I'll go ahead and install them since they still look perfect from five feet and once they're good and cured in a week or so I'll knock the dirt and insect out with 2000 grit and hand buff them out. I'm very pleased and can't wait to install them. I should also have my carbon fiber B and C pillars installed this weekend as well.

kc2002acr, I considered removing the mesh and leaving the crosshairs, but I decided against it. It's like removing the grilles on 1st gens and early 2nd gens, it just looks incomplete.

I'm rocking the Tein S-Techs on my car and they are awesome.

You can de-wing the trunk and just plug the holes (I did that too.) Hasn't leaked once in over 10k miles .

I'm looking forward to lowering it. At times it doesn't look bad to me, but other times I look at it and think "Damn that thing sits high!" lol

I actually took my spoiler off last Friday for shits and giggles. My trunk is in fairly good condition underneath the spoiler, so I grabbed some plastic "Christmass tree" plugs from work like most people use (I do body/paintwork for a living) and scuffed up the tops and I'm going to grab a small can of Intense Blue from Autozone (they don't carry E-Blue and Intense is close enough) and hit them with that so they don't stand out as much. I still intend to get a spoilerless trunk later on and throwing an AVS downdraft on it.
