I am in Mississauga, which is a part of the GTA.dodge_girl wrote:looks good! i like it a lot. what part of Ontario are you from

That 'Cuda look sexy as hell!LilSparkPlug wrote:Looks awesome!!!! Reminds me of the tuxedos just like Brodie said:
I tossed around the idea with a few of my co-workers, and they don't think its a good idea. They all agree that a flat black hood, like what is seen on many ricers, looks like the driver was going for the carbon fiber look on the cheap.LilSparkPlug wrote:Yup hood and wing. And it shouldn't cost you too much. FB vinyl is very cheap. My friend that has a vinyl shop has it in 6foot wide pieces (more than enough to do something like that)
Tell your co-workers their morons. I have flat black on my car and I can ASSURE them it doesn't look like I wanted CF and couldn't afford it. A 10k paint job > CF any day. Brodie's (supertrick05) car doesn't look cheap either. Its old school from the 70s. When you see a honda with a ghetto ass hood they couldn't afford to paint its different, that doesn't look like the flat black either he or I have.joseph_hac wrote:I tossed around the idea with a few of my co-workers, and they don't think its a good idea. What do you guys think?
Tell 'em hun! I agree 100% with you...flat black accents, when done right, look absolutely stunning! I think it would look fantastic on your car, joseph_hac. The only way it looks "rice" is when you spray shit flat black with a rattle can. Then it just looks ghetto as all hell...but when you use an automotive product sprayed out of professional equipment, the results are just fantastic! I know the flat/semi-gloss black thing isn't for everyone, but I can assure you...it's NOT rice and it's NOT meant to be a cheap replacement for carbon fiber. If I would have gotten a carbon fiber hood, I would have painted it with the same paint that is on my SRT hood because that's the look I'm going for.LilSparkPlug wrote:Tell your co-workers their morons. Again....they have no idea what they are talking about. Flat black accents look amazing when done properly.

What are the cons of wrapping it in vinyl? It would be cheaper and I could always remove it and still have the original paint underneath if I wanted to sell the car.hul kogan wrote:stripes look great on there. as already suggested, a flat black hood will tie it in even better. don't wrap you hood in vinyl, though. do it right and paint it if you want that look.
well, i personally think it looks cheap and tacky. you will probably have a difficult time getting the vinyl to lay down on the hood perfectly. although if you spent some time with a heat gun you might be able to get OK results. still it isn't going to be easy.joseph_hac wrote:What are the cons of wrapping it in vinyl?
